The Belkin Travel Bag for Nintendo Switch 2 is a compact shoulder bag that, according to a TechRadar review published October 4, 2026, can carry the console, dock, controllers, cables, and other accessories. Its felt-lined console pouch and flexible storage make it useful for carrying a full setup, but its soft-sided construction is not a substitute for a hard-shell case if crush protection is your priority.
What fits in the Belkin Switch 2 travel bag?
TechRadar’s reviewer, Lewis Maddison, tested the bag over a couple of days, loading its compartments and carrying it on commutes. He reports that the main compartment accommodated the Switch 2 dock, controllers, cables, and other accessories. The long-opening zippers operated smoothly during his use.
A felt-lined internal pouch holds the console to help prevent screen scuffs and scratches. Maddison found it snug enough for a Switch 2 with a CRKD Nitro Deck 2 attached, which is a useful sign for players who carry a grip-style accessory. That fit is the reviewer’s observation, not a manufacturer guarantee for every accessory combination.
The bag is listed in the review as having seven compartments, including a removable sleeve with 10 game-card slots. An expandable mesh pocket can hold cables, power adapters, or Joy-Con 2 controllers, but the reviewer cautions that those items may not all fit together. The mesh can sag when loaded, and pointed paper items may poke through.

How it carries—and where the design compromises
The shoulder strap can attach at either of two points at the bottom of the bag, so you can wear it over either shoulder. A top handle offers another way to carry it, while an exterior zip pocket provides separate storage for smaller items. Maddison praised the carrying comfort and the amount of storage in the compact form.
The protection is less comprehensive than the storage. The review describes cushioning on the bottom and sides, with less padding on the front and back. The bag is soft-sided rather than a hard shell, so Maddison would not pile heavy luggage on top of it. The review does not establish a water- or splash-resistance rating.

Choose the Belkin if you want a shoulder bag with room for a broader Switch 2 setup, including the dock. The PlayTrek 2-in-1 is the more relevant option in this comparison if you want a more hard-shell-like design or more game-card slots; the review does not establish that it offers better protection in any measured test.

Who should buy it?
- Consider it if you want to carry a Switch 2 and a substantial set of accessories over your shoulder, including the dock, and value a felt-lined console pouch.
- Look elsewhere if the bag may be pressed under heavy luggage, or if you want hard-shell-style construction and more than 10 game-card slots.
- Pack the mesh pocket selectively: it has room for useful extras, but the reviewer reports sagging when loaded and notes that several bulky items may not fit together.
