Rainbow Crops: two entries, not one round
Tech.eu’s €15.7 million figure covers two Rainbow Crops entries. In its dataset, the Tech.eu Funding Explorer lists a €9.7 million June seed round and a separate €6 million March grant. The grant is not an equity round, so the combined ranking figure should not be read as one financing round.
Why Kpler changes the picture
Tech.eu reports that Belgian tech companies raised €1.09 billion in H1 2026 and attributes €859.2 million of that total to Kpler—about 79%. The company’s reported $1 billion investment therefore dwarfs the other amounts in this ranking.
#1 Best Overall
In an announcement dated 3 June 2026, investor Sixth Street described its investment as a minority strategic growth-equity investment of over $1 billion. Kpler management remained majority owners; Insight Partners remained a shareholder and rolled part of its original investment; and Five Arrows exited. Tech.eu gives the transaction’s euro value as €859.2 million. The Funding Explorer lists €861 million, a rounded euro-normalised figure. These are different source expressions of the same standout transaction, not separate Kpler rounds.
Kpler founders François Cazor and Jean Maynier described the company’s ambition in Sixth Street’s announcement: “Our vision remains unchanged: to build one of the world’s most distinctive global trade intelligence platforms.” This is the founders’ statement, not an independent assessment of the company.

Why reported amounts differ across sources
Tech.eu’s ranking mixes dollars and euros, so its amounts should be compared as reported rather than treated as a common-currency league table. The Tech.eu Funding Explorer normalises deal amounts to euros using ECB rates and rounds some figures. Its Belgium H1 2026 page, with data dated 24 September 2026, reports a rounded country total of €1.1 billion, 36 companies and 37 rounds.
The Explorer’s euro-normalised amounts include €51 million for Aikido Security, €36 million for Magnax, €18 million for D-CRBN, €12 million for Tekst.com, €11 million for Timefold, and €10 million each for Qover, Harmoney and WARREN. It lists neuroClues at €10.0 million. The differences from Tech.eu’s ranking figures reflect source-specific reporting, conversion or rounding; the available sources do not establish one uniform reason for every individual difference.

A separate H1 funding total: Syndicate One’s dataset
Syndicate One’s 10 July 2026 analysis, based on State of Belgian Tech research produced with Agoria and Scaleup Flanders, reports €497.1 million across 74 disclosed rounds, up 40% year over year. It names Keyrock (€100 million), Aikido Security (€52.7 million) and Eyeo (€40 million) in its top-round graphic. The analysis says the top five rounds accounted for 53% of capital and the top twenty for 83%.
These figures are not a replacement for Tech.eu’s ranking or its total. The reviewed Syndicate One methodology note does not state the precise inclusion rule that accounts for the difference, including why Kpler appears in Tech.eu’s dataset but not as a leading round in Syndicate One’s account. The two totals and their leaders should therefore remain attributed to their respective datasets rather than being combined or treated as directly reconciled.

The companies span trade analytics, application security, electric motors, carbon conversion, agritech, workflow automation, scheduling, insurance, compliance, neurological assessment and pensions. The list is useful for seeing which disclosed funding amounts were largest in Tech.eu’s H1 snapshot, but funding size alone does not establish a company’s product quality, consumer usefulness, valuation or future performance. The cited reporting describes the financing and businesses; it does not provide evidence for those broader conclusions.
