The headline combines specifications from two different ASUS laptops, not one verified configuration. ASUS identifies the 2026 Vivobook 16 as the M1607GA, with up to Ryzen AI 7 445 and a 60Hz display. Ryzen 7 H 260 and 144Hz display options appear instead in the separate Vivobook S16 M3607HA family. ASUS lists DDR5—not LPDDR5—for the M3607HA configurations shown.
Which ASUS laptop matches the headline?
ASUS’s January 7, 2026 announcement names the Vivobook 16 as model M1607GA. Its specification table describes a 16-inch WUXGA (1920 × 1200) screen at 60Hz and lists up to an AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 processor, up to 32GB DDR5 memory, and up to a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. These are manufacturer-listed maximums and specifications, not a promise that every regional configuration includes them. Read ASUS’s announcement.
The Ryzen 7 H 260 and 144Hz details belong to the distinct Vivobook S16 M3607HA family. ASUS lists that processor and 144Hz display options for M3607HA variants. Its specification table does not establish a single configuration combining every processor, display resolution, brightness, and color-gamut detail, so check the complete model code and regional SKU before treating those items as one package. See ASUS’s Vivobook S16 M3607 specifications.

Is the M3607HA’s memory 16GB LPDDR5?
That memory claim is not supported by ASUS’s M3607HA specification table. The configurations shown use DDR5, with 16GB onboard and/or 16GB DDR5 SO-DIMM arrangements; ASUS lists a maximum total system memory of 32GB where shown. Do not infer installed laptop memory from the processor’s capabilities: AMD lists the Ryzen 7 260 as supporting DDR5 and LPDDR5X, but that does not mean a laptop maker installed either memory type in a particular SKU. AMD also identifies the Ryzen 7 260 as an 8-core processor, launched February 18, 2025. Check AMD’s processor specifications.

What should buyers verify before ordering?
ASUS lists multiple display and memory configurations within the M3607HA family. A product-family name alone therefore is not enough to confirm the panel, installed RAM, or upgrade arrangement for an individual listing. Use the full model code or SKU and match it against the retailer’s configuration details and ASUS’s regional specification information.
- Product identity: Confirm whether the listing is M1607GA or Vivobook S16 M3607HA; they are different model designations.
- Screen: Verify resolution and refresh rate for that exact SKU rather than assuming every M3607HA has the same 144Hz panel.
- Memory: Confirm the installed capacity and DDR5 arrangement. The available ASUS M3607HA entries do not support describing them as LPDDR5.
- Storage and expansion: ASUS lists one M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 slot and one DDR5 SO-DIMM slot on applicable M3607HA variants; verify applicability to the specific unit before relying on an upgrade path.
- Market and availability: ASUS says specifications and product availability may differ by country and can change without notice. The cited specifications do not establish current retail price or stock.
Ports on the Vivobook S16 M3607
ASUS lists two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports with display and power-delivery support, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1 TMDS, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack for the M3607 family. Those ports can make a compatible hub or dock useful if you need extra connections or displays, but the listed port capabilities do not establish that a particular third-party accessory has been tested with the laptop.
