How to choose for your actual workflow
Choose Astra Streaming Studio if you are creating the live video on an Android device
Astra is relevant when the phone is the source: for example, you want to stream a live camera view or screen capture and use the listed switching, scene, filter, or connection features. The available listing supports that mobile-production use. It does not establish that Astra Studio can take a library of old videos and run them as an unattended, continuous YouTube broadcast.
Choose Gyre if the source is a library of prerecorded videos
Gyre’s stated process matches this use: upload files to its cloud storage, assemble a looping playlist, authorize or connect the YouTube channel, and launch or schedule the stream. This avoids relying on a computer at home to keep replaying the files. Capacity matters if you run more than one stream, need 4K, or have a large video library; compare the plan’s stream limit and storage with your actual requirements rather than choosing by price alone.

YouTube eligibility and monetization still matter
A third-party service does not bypass YouTube’s live-streaming rules. YouTube says an account restricted from live streaming is prohibited from using another channel to stream on YouTube. Check your channel status and YouTube’s current live-streaming eligibility and help page before setting up a continuous broadcast.

Do not assume a stream will be monetized simply because it is live or because a service connects to YouTube. Gyre’s September 2026 article says automatic monetization depends on a YouTube Studio setting for streams created by third-party tools. Verify the current setting in YouTube Studio for your channel. You are also responsible for having the rights needed to broadcast the videos, music, and other material in your playlist; a looping setup does not make copyrighted material permissible.
Gyre’s 2026 guide says the service is listed in YouTube’s Services Directory and Google’s software encoder support page. That is a vendor statement; if directory status is important to your decision, confirm it in Gyre’s guide and the relevant YouTube directory before relying on it.
