Is the iPad 11 worth it?
The deal concerns Apple’s 2025 iPad 11-inch (A16), not an iPad Air or Pro. It is worth considering if you want a general-purpose tablet for common apps, web browsing, video, school tasks, handwritten notes or modest creative work. Its A16 chip has a five-core CPU, four-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine, according to Apple’s technical specifications.

The screen is a 2360-by-1640-pixel display at 264 pixels per inch, rated at 500 nits. Apple describes the diagonal as 10.86 inches when measured as a rectangle; the actual viewable area is smaller because of rounded corners. Apple also lists True Tone and an oleophobic coating. These are useful everyday features, but buyers who prioritize more advanced display or performance capabilities should compare higher-tier iPads against their needs rather than assuming this model is the right fit.
Is the iPad 11 good for students?
It can suit students who need a portable screen for reading, research, video lessons, everyday apps and notes. A stylus is an additional purchase, not an included item, so include it in the budget if handwriting or drawing matters. For extensive typing, Apple lists the Magic Keyboard Folio as a supported option; that is also an accessory purchase.

What are the battery, camera and connectivity details?
Apple estimates up to 10 hours of web browsing on Wi-Fi or video playback, and up to nine hours of web browsing over cellular data. Those are manufacturer estimates. Separately, Tom’s Guide says its custom battery test measured 11 hours and 25 minutes; that is one publication’s test result, not a runtime guarantee for every user or workload.

Should you get the iPad or iPad Air?
Choose based on what you need from the tablet: compare the price you can actually buy at, display features, processor capability, connectivity and accessory requirements. The reported deal makes the iPad 11’s entry configuration less expensive than its then-normal price, but the available information here does not establish current competing-model prices or detailed specifications. Check Apple’s current comparison and retailer listings before deciding if a higher-tier iPad’s extra capabilities justify its cost.
