Apple TV reportedly added 13 movies to its U.S. subscription catalog on October 1, 2026, including Good Will Hunting, Taxi Driver, Jurassic World and 28 Days Later. They are included for Apple TV subscribers at no additional charge—not free to watch without a subscription. The lineup varies by country and changes over time.
Which movies were added to Apple TV in October 2026?
Two reports published October 1 listed the same 13 new U.S. additions. They are licensed movies included with an Apple TV subscription, alongside Apple originals; their addition does not mean they are permanent catalog titles. See the reports from 9to5Mac and MacRumors.
- American Gangster
- Good Will Hunting
- Insomnia
- 28 Days Later
- Taxi Driver
- Jurassic World
- Black Hawk Down
- Going the Distance
- Fury
- Tropic Thunder
- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
- Fallen
- Blood Diamond
Are these movies really free?
They are included with an Apple TV subscription at no additional charge. You need subscription access to watch them; the word “free” in headlines does not mean the movies are available to non-subscribers. Apple’s September 24, 2026 press release stated a U.S. price of $14.99 per month and a seven-day trial for new subscribers. Prices and trial eligibility can change, so check Apple’s announcement and the subscription offer shown to you before signing up.

No. Apple TV’s included selection varies by market because of regional licensing, and titles rotate. The October 1 list above is the reported U.S. selection, not a worldwide catalog guarantee. MacRumors, for example, listed these titles as available in Canada at the time:
#1 Best Overall
- 4K High Dynamic Range (Dolby Vision and HDR10) for stunning picture quality
- Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 surround sound
- A10X Fusion chip for ultra-fast graphics and performance
- Voice search by asking the Siri Remote
- Catch Me If You Can
- Ford v Ferrari
- Godzilla
- Inception
- Jurassic Park
- Jurassic World
- Little Miss Sunshine
- Rocketman
- Spider-Man: Far From Home
- Spider-Man: Homecoming
- The Martian
- The Proposal
- The Social Network
- The Town
- War of the Worlds
To check what you can watch, open the Apple TV app in your location and look for the movie there. Catalog status can change, so the October report is a dated snapshot rather than a guarantee of present availability.
Which U.S. movies were reported as holdovers?
MacRumors also identified seven movies remaining in the U.S. selection on October 1, 2026. Their inclusion was reported as of that date; check the app for current status.

No. Apple TV Press announced separate free streaming windows for three Peanuts specials: It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown on October 17–18, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving on November 14–15, and A Charlie Brown Christmas on December 12–13, 2026. Those dates refer to a distinct promotion, not the rotating October bonus-movie selection. The dates were announced in Apple’s September 24, 2026 press release.
