Yes. Apple Sports added tennis on June 25, 2025, starting with Wimbledon. It offers live scores for Grand Slam and 1000-level tournaments, plus point-by-point tracking for men’s and women’s singles. You can follow tournaments and matches in the iPhone app; supported software also enables Live Activities on the Lock Screen and Apple Watch. Apple Sports provides scores and information, not an included tennis-streaming subscription.
What tennis scores and matches does Apple Sports cover?
Apple announced tennis support on June 25, 2025, beginning with Wimbledon. Its announcement says the app covers live scores for Grand Slam and 1000-level tournaments and tracks every point in men’s and women’s singles matches. It also says users can get results from every match, from the first round through the finals. Apple’s tennis announcement describes those coverage levels; it does not establish coverage of every professional tournament or lower-tier tour.
Apple’s current App Store listing includes Men’s Tennis and Women’s Tennis among supported competitions. Tournament and feature availability can vary by country, region, or device, so the listing in your own App Store is the best place to check what is offered where you live.

- Install Apple Sports on an iPhone. Find Apple Sports in the App Store for your region.
- Choose the tennis competition or match you want to follow. The app lets you follow tournaments and matches, then view scores and available match information.
- Open a live match for more detail. Apple Sports can show real-time scores and stats. Apple’s User Guide describes features such as box scores and play-by-play, but the data shown on a tennis screen depends on what Apple supplies for that event.
Apple does not publish a tennis-specific score-update latency or accuracy statistic. Live scoring is useful for following a match, but Apple’s published information does not quantify how quickly updates arrive.

Can tennis scores appear on the iPhone Lock Screen or Apple Watch?
Yes. Apple Sports Live Activities can show live scores and play updates on the iPhone Lock Screen and Apple Watch. Apple specifies iOS 18 or later for iPhone Live Activities and watchOS 11 or later for Apple Watch Live Activities. These are newer requirements than the minimum iOS version for installing the app.
Which iPhones can run Apple Sports, and where is it available?
Apple describes Sports as a free iPhone app and says all iPhone models running iOS 17.2 or later are supported. That is the stated app requirement; the availability of the app and specific features can still vary by device and region. Apple’s original February 21, 2024 launch announcement named the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada as initial markets. Check your local App Store for current availability rather than assuming the original launch-market list is exhaustive or unchanged.

Does Apple Sports stream tennis matches?
Apple Sports is a scores and information app, not a tennis-TV subscription. When a live game is available to watch, Apple says users can tap through to the Apple TV app or connected streaming apps. Whether a particular tennis match has a stream depends on broadcast rights, region, and the subscriptions you have. A link to a viewing option does not mean the stream is included with Apple Sports.

How Apple Sports compares with dedicated tennis-score apps
Apple Sports is a fit if you want tournament scores, singles point tracking, and Apple device integrations. Before relying on it as your only tennis app, check the specific events and tools you need: the published coverage is Grand Slams and 1000-level tournaments, and the available match details can vary by event. For comparison, look at lower-tier tournament coverage, player and draw information, notification controls, Lock Screen and watch support, regional availability, and whether an app includes video rights or only points you to another service.
