Apple Music is now listed as available in Albania, Brunei, Burkina Faso and Pakistan. 9to5Mac reported the additions on September 30, 2026, and said the expansion brings the service to 172 countries and regions. That total is 9to5Mac’s reported figure; Apple’s availability page does not state an aggregate count.
Which countries were added?
The four newly reported markets are:
- Albania
- Brunei
- Burkina Faso
- Pakistan
The update concerns Apple Music availability, not a launch of every Apple service in those countries. For country-level listings, check Apple’s media services availability page. Apple notes that services and features can vary by country or region.

What the expansion means for listeners
The reported change makes Apple Music an option in these four markets. It does not establish that the catalog, features, price, payment methods, or subscription plans are the same across them. The sources reporting the rollout do not specify local launch prices, accepted payment methods, plan choices, or country-specific catalog and feature differences.

Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →This is a streaming-service availability update, not a hardware launch. Apple’s 2020 announcement described Apple Music as available on Apple devices, Android, and other devices, so the market expansion does not itself imply that listeners need to buy new hardware. That announcement is historical context, not confirmation of current device support details in each newly listed market.

How this compares with Apple’s earlier expansion
Apple announced an expansion into 52 additional countries and regions on April 21, 2020. That historical figure is not the size of the current rollout. For the September 2026 update, the figure of 172 countries and regions comes from 9to5Mac’s report, rather than an aggregate stated on Apple’s reviewed availability page.
