Expect a wide spread rather than one fixed iPhone 8 Plus price in Pakistan. Reference listings accessed in 2026 show Rs 96,999 for an imported legacy listing, Rs 122,999 on ProPakistani and Rs 123,299 on a discontinued Priceoye listing. These figures describe different stock and conditions, not a guaranteed shop quote. Since the iPhone 8 Plus was discontinued, a used or refurbished phone should be judged by PTA status, battery health, storage, repair history and warranty before price.

Pakistan government valuation records document both 64GB and 256GB Space Grey variants, confirming that these capacities have an import and valuation history. They do not establish what a particular used, repaired or PTA-approved phone should cost today. Ask for the exact storage, IMEI status, battery percentage, repair disclosures and return terms in writing.
Is the iPhone 8 Plus PTA approved?
PTA approval is tied to the individual device’s IMEI, not simply to the iPhone 8 Plus model. A phone can be factory-unlocked yet still be non-PTA for Pakistani cellular use. Before paying, obtain the IMEI from the handset (and, where available, the box), then verify its status through the current official PTA/DIRBS process or a reputable retailer that provides verifiable proof. A seller’s statement such as “JV,” “factory unlock” or “approved” is not a substitute for checking the IMEI yourself.

Imported non-PTA stock may be cheaper because the buyer can face registration or network-use restrictions. An officially PTA-approved or properly registered phone normally commands a premium, but the amount is not fixed by the published references above. Confirm whether any quoted price includes taxes, registration and accessories.

The large LCD, physical Home button with Touch ID, portrait-capable dual camera and wireless charging remain useful for buyers who prefer that design. The A11 platform is suitable for basic communication, browsing, media and many everyday apps, but it is from 2017. There is no 5G, the phone uses the older Lightning ecosystem, and its thick bezels make it less screen-efficient than newer iPhones. Battery performance depends heavily on the individual battery and any previous repair.

64GB, 128GB or 256GB: which used model?
64GB
Usually the least expensive capacity and adequate for light use, cloud storage and a modest photo library. It becomes restrictive if you keep large video files, offline downloads or many games.
128GB
Apple offered a 128GB capacity, but local listings may not always carry it. Treat an unusual “128GB” offer carefully: verify the model information in Settings and confirm that the storage has not been misrepresented.

256GB
Provides the most room for photos, video and offline media. It can cost more on the used market, but a higher price is worthwhile only when the phone’s battery, parts and PTA status are also sound.

Because Apple discontinued the model, an ordinary “new official-warranty” unit is unlikely to be the normal market supply. Do not pay a new-phone premium without independently checking activation, warranty coverage and the seller’s return policy.

Inspection checklist before you pay
- Match the model and storage: Open Settings > General > About and compare the model, capacity and serial information with the seller’s description.
- Check IMEI and PTA status: Record the IMEI and verify it through the current Pakistani network-registration process. Test a local SIM where possible.
- Inspect battery and parts: In Settings > Battery > Battery Health, note maximum capacity and any service warning. Ask whether the battery, display or cameras are original.
- Test biometric and cameras: Enrol or unlock with Touch ID, then test both rear cameras, autofocus, flash, Portrait mode and the front camera.
- Test physical functions: Check the Home button, volume and power buttons, speakers, microphone, vibration, Lightning charging, wireless charging, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Look for damage and liquid exposure: Inspect the frame, back glass, screen edges and charging port; check the liquid-contact indicator where visible. IP67 protection should not be assumed after opening or repair.
- Get terms in writing: Confirm the final price, PTA/tax inclusion, accessories, warranty duration, dead-on-arrival coverage and return period. Keep the IMEI and condition recorded on the invoice.
Is an iPhone 8 Plus worth buying in 2026?
It can make sense when you specifically want a Touch ID/Home-button phone, a large 5.5-inch display and an inexpensive entry to Apple’s dual-camera design. It is a weaker long-term choice when you need 5G, a fresh battery, modern camera processing, extended software support or a lighter, slimmer phone. A newer used iPhone may offer better longevity even if its storage is lower; compare the total landed cost, PTA status, battery health, warranty and condition rather than choosing solely by the 8 Plus label.

Do not treat a high asking price as proof of quality. At the upper end of the published references, demand a documented PTA-approved IMEI, strong battery, clean display and cameras, and a meaningful return policy. At a lower imported price, budget for any registration or repairs and accept the associated network and condition risk.
