How do the screens, size, and portability compare?
The Fold8 Ultra’s larger display comes with a slightly higher stated weight: Samsung lists 215 g, while Apple lists 211 g for the iPhone 18 Pro. The difference is just 4 g, despite the Fold’s much larger unfolded screen. The weight figures do not capture the practical difference in carrying or handling a foldable versus a conventional phone, so the right choice depends on whether the larger screen is useful enough to you to justify its distinct form factor.

Samsung highlights a 200MP main camera with HDR at 200MP and a 50MP ultrawide on the Fold8 Ultra. What is known about battery and charging?
Samsung states that the Fold8 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. Apple provides battery-life test information for the iPhone 18 Pro, but the cited materials do not establish a directly comparable battery-capacity figure or a controlled endurance comparison between the phones. - Consider the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra if an 8-inch foldable display for reading, media, or multitasking matters more to you than the higher reported U.S. starting price.
- Compare your local offers before deciding if price is decisive: the $900.99 gap is calculated from Apple’s official U.S. price and TechRadar’s reported Fold8 Ultra price, and does not account for retailer or carrier discounts.
Neither the listed camera specifications nor the available battery information establishes a universal performance winner. The choice is principally between a conventional smartphone and a more expansive foldable screen, with the Fold8 Ultra carrying a substantially higher cited U.S. starting price.
