The iPhone 15 and the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus 5G are built for different buyers. The iPhone 15 is the compact option with a 6.1-inch screen and Apple’s iOS. The Motorola is the larger phone, with a 6.8-inch screen, a listed 6,500 mAh battery, a telephoto camera and Android. In every price pairing we found, the Motorola is listed lower, but the iPhone 15’s price varies so much between sellers that no single price gap holds. Choose by screen size and platform first, then check the live price of the exact storage variant.

Size and display
The screen size difference is the most noticeable gap between these two phones. A 6.8-inch display gives more room for video, reading and multitasking, but it also means a larger device to hold and pocket. The iPhone 15’s 6.1-inch screen suits buyers who want a phone that works comfortably one-handed.
#1 Best Overall
- 6.1inch Super Retina XDR display. Aluminum with color-infused glass back. Ring/Silent switch
- Dynamic Island. A magical way to interact with iPhone. A16 Bionic chip with 5-core GPU
- Advanced dual-camera system. 48MP Main | Ultra Wide. Super-high-resolution photos (24MP and 48MP). Next-generation portraits with Focus and Depth Control. 4X optical zoom range
- Emergency SOS via satellite. Crash Detection. Roadside Assistance via satellite
- Up to 26 hours video playback. USB C, Supports USB 2. Face ID
Screen quality, brightness and panel type are not covered by the comparison listings consulted, so size is the only display factor this article can compare.
Cameras
The two phones take different camera approaches. The Motorola adds a telephoto lens to its wide and ultrawide cameras, which gives you a dedicated zoom option. The iPhone 15 uses a main and ultrawide pair, and its listed 48 MP main sensor is a higher resolution than the Motorola’s main sensor would be if its megapixel count were listed.
Megapixel count does not decide image quality. Sensor size, lens quality, processing and stabilisation all affect results. The sources reviewed do not include camera samples or lab results, so no winner can be named on camera performance. If zoom matters to you, the Motorola’s telephoto lens is the feature to check in side-by-side sample photos before buying.

Battery
The Motorola’s listed 6,500 mAh battery is substantially larger than the iPhone 15’s listed 3,349 mAh. Capacity alone does not predict how long a phone lasts. Software optimisation, screen size and processor efficiency all change real-world endurance. The two phones’ capacity figures are useful as a rough guide, but neither listing reports a battery-life test, so the difference in endurance is not established.
Platform: iOS or Android
The choice between iOS and Android often matters more than any single spec. If you already use an iPhone, Mac, iPad or AirPods, the iPhone 15 keeps those devices working together in the way Apple designs them to. If you use Android, a Windows PC or a Google account, the Motorola fits that setup more naturally.
Switching platforms means moving photos, messages and app purchases, and some apps or accounts may behave differently across systems. Check your existing apps and subscriptions before deciding.

Price difference in India
Prices in this section are India-specific and were checked on the dates shown. They are displayed snapshots, not guaranteed offers.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems| Source | Date | Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus 5G | Apple iPhone 15 | Configuration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Motorola India official storefront | Accessed October 7, 2026 | ₹47,999 (MRP ₹84,999) | No Apple price on this source | Edge 70 Pro Plus 12/256 GB |
| Smartprix comparison page | Last updated October 6, 2026 | ₹47,950 | ₹50,990 | Not stated |
| Second comparison listing | Date not stated | ₹47,999 | ₹63,999 | Not stated |
On the Smartprix page, the iPhone 15 is listed ₹3,040 above the Motorola. On the second listing, the gap is ₹16,000. Those numbers come from different sources and dates, and the iPhone configuration is not stated on either comparison page, so they show a range of listed prices rather than a measured difference. The most likely reasons for the spread are differences in storage variant, seller, stock level, offer timing and warranty terms.
Before you rely on any price, confirm the following on the seller’s own checkout page:

- The seller. An official channel and a marketplace listing for the same phone can differ in price, warranty and return terms.
- Warranty and import status. Confirm that the warranty covers India and that the phone is the model you expect.
- Payment offers. Bank or card discounts can change the effective price, and they are often time-limited.
- Stock. A listed price is only useful if the phone is available to order.
Apple has released newer iPhone models since the iPhone 15, so check whether the iPhone 15 is still sold as a new device in your market before comparing prices.
Which phone fits your needs
- Choose the iPhone 15 if you want a compact phone, already use Apple devices, or prefer iOS. Confirm the storage variant and seller price before ordering.
- Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus 5G if you want a larger screen, a bigger listed battery, a telephoto lens or Android. Confirm the 12/256 GB configuration and warranty on the seller’s page.
- Test the camera yourself if photos are your main reason to buy. Compare sample shots at the zoom levels you actually use.
- Hold both phones if you can. The 6.1-inch and 6.8-inch sizes feel very different in daily use.

Motorola is the cheaper phone in every price pairing shown here, but the iPhone 15 price is too variable for a single answer. The right choice depends on size, platform, camera priorities and the price you can actually buy the exact configuration for.
Verdict: if you want the larger, longer-lasting and cheaper-listed phone, pick the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus 5G. If you want the compact iPhone and already live in Apple’s ecosystem, the iPhone 15 remains a sensible choice at the right price.
