Apple’s 2026 release calendar is already partly known, but the next major hardware event is not. Apple launched several Macs, iPads, an iPhone 17e, and two displays in March, then used WWDC26 in June for software and AI announcements. The company has not published an official date for a fall 2026 Apple Event.
Reports point to an iPhone-focused presentation in the first half of September, potentially on September 8 or September 9. Those dates—and the products expected to appear—remain unconfirmed. Here is the current split between products Apple has actually announced and products supported only by reporting.
What Apple has already launched in 2026
Apple’s March product presentation resulted in a substantial hardware refresh. The following products became available on March 11, 2026:

These are confirmed releases, rather than products still waiting for a rumored fall announcement. Apple’s March 2026 newsroom announcement has the full availability information.
WWDC26 was mainly about software
WWDC26 ran from June 8 through June 12, 2026. Apple previewed the next major versions of its operating systems:
- iOS 27
- iPadOS 27
- macOS 27
- watchOS 27
- visionOS 27
- tvOS 27
Apple also presented the next generation of Apple Intelligence and a substantially upgraded Siri AI. WWDC is primarily a developer and software conference, so it should not be treated as evidence that additional hardware was launched in June.
Apple’s announcements are covered in its WWDC26 Apple Intelligence release and its WWDC26 schedule announcement.

When will the next Apple Event take place?
As of August 9, 2026, Apple has not confirmed a date or format for a fall event. The company’s official Apple Events page currently lists events only through September 9, 2025, so it does not yet provide a 2026 keynote date.
Reporting has identified the first half of September as the likely window for an iPhone presentation. September 8 has been reported as the leading possibility, with September 9 as an alternative. Neither date is official.
That distinction matters because Apple normally announces its keynote date through its own website and newsroom before the event. A reported target date is not the same as an Apple-confirmed invitation or calendar listing.
Products reportedly planned for the fall
The most consistent reports point to an iPhone-centered event with several possible companion products.

| Product | Current status | What is known |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone 18 Pro | Reported | Expected to remain a fall 2026 model; Apple has not confirmed its name, specifications, price, or date. |
| iPhone 18 Pro Max | Reported | Expected alongside the Pro model, but not officially announced. |
| Foldable iPhone | Reported | Often called “iPhone Ultra” in reports, although Apple has not confirmed that name. |
| Apple Watch models | Possible | Reports mention Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. |
| AirPods updates | Possible | New AirPods have been mentioned, but specific models and timing are unclear. |
Apple may announce some of these products in a keynote, while others could arrive through a newsroom release or at a separate time. It is not safe to assume that every reported product will share one launch event.
The iPhone 18 release schedule may be staggered
One of the more important changes in current reporting concerns the timing of the regular iPhone models. The reported roadmap separates the Pro phones from the standard models:
- The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to remain fall 2026 products.
- The rumored foldable iPhone is also expected in the same general period.
- The standard iPhone 18 may move to the first half of 2027.
- A successor to the iPhone 17e may also move to 2027.
This means headlines claiming that the “iPhone 18 lineup” will launch in September may be oversimplifying the plan. Apple has not confirmed a staggered release policy, so the standard iPhone 18 and the next iPhone 17e should not be listed as confirmed 2026 launches.

Apple is reportedly preparing a broader Mac refresh, but the timing is less certain than the expected iPhone schedule. Products mentioned in current reporting include:
Rank #4
- AN AMAZING MAC AT A SURPRISING PRICE — With an incredibly portable and durable aluminum design, up to 16 hours of battery life,* and the A18 Pro chip, MacBook Neo is ready to go wherever school takes you.

- 14-inch MacBook Pro: A refreshed entry-level model using a base M6 chip.
- 24-inch iMac: A possible M6-based update.
- High-end MacBook Pro: A redesigned model with an OLED touchscreen, potentially arriving in late 2026 or early 2027. Some reports refer to it as a “MacBook Ultra.”
- Mac Studio: Updated models using M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips.
- Mac mini: Updated versions using M5 Pro and M6 chips.
The Mac Studio and Mac mini schedule is particularly uncertain. Memory supply and component costs are reportedly affecting Apple’s timing, so a separate October Mac event should not be treated as planned or confirmed.
Apple may skip M6 Pro and M6 Max
A common assumption is that an M6 Mac refresh would automatically include M6 Pro and M6 Max chips. Current reporting does not support that assumption. Apple may introduce a base M6 chip for entry-level Macs while skipping M6 Pro and M6 Max, then move toward an AI-focused M7 generation in 2027.
That is still a reported chip roadmap, not an Apple announcement. Buyers should wait for official technical specifications rather than treating the rumored M6 family as a complete product range.
A possible Apple home hub
Apple is also reportedly developing a home hub for controlling smart-home devices. The device could combine several functions:
Best Value
- Quad-core 8th-Generation Intel Core i5 Processor
- Brilliant Retina Display with True Tone technology
- Touch Bar and Touch ID
- Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645
- Ultrafast SSD
- Smart-home control
- Music playback
- Video calls
- Weather information
- Photos
- Notes and calendar information
- Siri access
A late-2026 arrival is possible, but Apple has not confirmed the product’s name, design, price, or release date. It is therefore better viewed as a development report than as a product scheduled for the next Apple Event.
Confirmed versus rumored: the quick guide
| Claim | How to describe it |
|---|---|
| Apple announced a September 8 event | Incorrect. September 8 is only a reported target. |
| The foldable iPhone is officially called iPhone Ultra | Unconfirmed. “iPhone Ultra” is a reporting label. |
| Every iPhone 18 model will launch in September | Unconfirmed and inconsistent with reports of a staggered schedule. |
| M6 Pro and M6 Max Macs are coming in 2026 | Not established; current reports suggest those chips may be skipped. |
| Apple will hold an October Mac event | No official event has been announced. |
| All rumored products will appear at one keynote | Unconfirmed; Apple could use separate events or press releases. |
How to follow the official announcement
- Check Apple’s Apple Events page rather than relying only on a reported date.
- Look for an Apple Newsroom announcement confirming the keynote, its time, and its streaming details.
- Check the product page after the event for confirmed names, configurations, pricing, and availability.
- Be cautious with retailer listings and leaks that use unofficial names such as “iPhone Ultra” or describe an entire iPhone 18 range as a September launch.

The Bottom Line
Apple has already completed its confirmed 2026 spring hardware launch and its June software conference. The next likely major release window is the first half of September, led by the reported iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a possible foldable iPhone. However, Apple has not confirmed the event date or any of those products. Mac refreshes, new Apple Watch and AirPods models, and a home hub may arrive later, but their timing is even less certain.
