Apple announced 15 games for Apple Arcade across December 2024 and January 2025, including FINAL FANTASY IV (3D REMAKE)+. The announcement is historical: Apple’s November 13, 2024 update listed release dates through January 9, 2025, but does not establish which games remain available now.
What games did Apple announce for Apple Arcade?
Apple’s November 13, 2024 announcement grouped the 15 titles into three release dates:

These are the dates Apple announced for the titles to join its service, not confirmation of their availability today. Apple described the catalog as “all 250+ games” free of ads and in-app purchases in that November 2024 announcement; that is a dated company statement, not a current catalog count. What was notable about the Final Fantasy IV remake?
Apple identified FINAL FANTASY IV (3D REMAKE)+ as a Square Enix game and said it launched on Apple Arcade on December 9, 2024. Apple described updated graphics, improved gameplay, and added voice acting for event scenes. Those are the company’s descriptions; the announcement is not an independent review.

Apple also noted the original fourth mainline Final Fantasy game was the first in the franchise to introduce the Active Time Battle system. The December 9 release group also included FF IV: THE AFTER YEARS+, making two entries tied to the series’ fourth installment part of the slate.
How do the games differ by genre and platform?
Apple said Apple Arcade was available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro. Its announcement called out several genre distinctions:

Gears & Goo was the slate’s specific Apple Vision Pro title: Apple described it as a spatial-computing game for that headset. The announcement does not say that Vision Pro is required for the other games. It also does not provide a basis for ranking the slate by quality, performance, or player reception.
What the announcement does—and does not—tell you
The release dates, game list, platform range, and Apple’s descriptions above reflect its November 13, 2024 statement. That announcement does not establish current title-by-title availability, current subscription pricing or regional terms, controller requirements, or the present availability of Apple Vision Pro. Check Apple’s current Arcade catalog and product information for those details.
