The Apple A18 Pro is a six-core CPU, six-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine chip used in the iPhone 16 Pro. One iPhone 16 Pro submission scored 2,808 single-core and 8,347 multi-core in Geekbench 6.6.0. Those results offer a version-specific CPU benchmark example—not an official Apple rating or a promise of how every phone will perform.
Apple A18 Pro specifications
Apple identifies the A18 Pro as the chip in the iPhone 16 Pro, introduced in 2024. Apple lists these core counts:
| Component | Apple-listed configuration |
|---|---|
| CPU | 6 cores: 2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores |
| GPU | 6 cores |
| Neural Engine | 16 cores |
These figures describe the configuration, not clock speeds or sustained performance. Apple’s cited specifications do not establish process node, cache capacities, memory bandwidth or sustained clock behavior. Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro technical specifications are the source for the listed counts.

What is the A18 Pro Geekbench score?
A Geekbench Browser record for an iPhone 16 Pro shows a score of 2,808 single-core and 8,347 multi-core. The submission used Geekbench 6.6.0 for iOS AArch64, identified the device as an Apple A18 Pro running iOS 26.3, and was uploaded February 12, 2026. View the Geekbench Browser result.
#1 Best Overall
- Titanium frame combines strength and lightness, giving the iPhone 16 Pro a premium feel while reducing weight for prolonged daily use. The polished edges and textured back enhance grip and handling, making it easier to use during long calls, gaming sessions, or when capturing photos and videos on the move.
This is one submitted test, not an average across iPhone 16 Pro units, an Apple-published score or a guaranteed result for every handset. It is best treated as a concrete example tied to its benchmark version, operating system and device.
What do the Geekbench numbers measure?
Geekbench 6 CPU workloads include data compression, image processing and machine learning. The single-core result reflects the test’s single-core workload, while the multi-core score reflects its shared-task multi-threading approach. These scores are indicators of performance in those benchmark tasks, not direct measurements of every app’s speed.

Geekbench 6’s GPU compute test covers workloads such as image processing, computational photography, computer vision and machine learning. The CPU results above are not GPU scores, and they do not establish how the A18 Pro performs in a particular game or graphics workload. Primate Labs’ Geekbench 6 Internals document describes the benchmark’s workload scope and methodology.

Geekbench 6 calibrates scores against a baseline of 2,500; according to Primate Labs, a score twice as high indicates twice the performance on that calibrated scale. That relationship applies to the benchmark’s scale, not as a claim that a phone will feel twice as fast in everyday use.

The polished edges and textured back enhance grip and handling, making it easier to use during long calls, gaming sessions, or when capturing photos and videos on the move.
The methodology document also describes pauses between workloads to reduce thermal effects. A benchmark run therefore cannot, by itself, establish sustained performance during a long gaming session or other prolonged workload. App behavior, heat and power use require measurements under relevant conditions.
- Compare scores from the same Geekbench version; do not treat results from different major versions as directly interchangeable.
- Keep single-core and multi-core results separate, since they represent different CPU test modes.
- For GPU comparisons, match the benchmark test and API rather than comparing unlike workloads.
- Check the tested device, operating system and conditions before drawing conclusions about a broader group of phones.
On the available evidence, the A18 Pro’s configuration and one Geekbench 6.6.0 CPU result are clear. That single result is not enough to establish an average score, a cross-device winner or performance in every real-world task.
