Yes—the original Among Us supports online crossplay, so friends using different devices can play together. Innersloth describes online lobbies for 4–15 players. Make sure everyone is opening the original game: Among Us 3D has separate PC-and-VR crossplay and cannot connect to the original game.
Does the original Among Us support crossplay?
Yes. Innersloth’s December 14, 2021 console launch announcement says console players can crossplay with friends on other devices. The company’s official game page describes online play for 4–15 players. The console announcement also gives that 4–15-player range for online lobbies.

That means the key first check is that everyone is playing the same game, not that everyone owns the same kind of device. The official announcements confirm crossplay at a general level; they do not provide a current, complete platform-by-platform compatibility chart.

Use the game’s online multiplayer flow and follow the lobby instructions shown in-game. Innersloth’s published materials confirm online crossplay, but do not document the current menu labels or a complete step-by-step joining process. For that reason, use the instructions displayed in your installed version rather than relying on an outdated click path.

Innersloth lists both online and local Wi-Fi play for 4–15 players on its official game page. The published material does not establish whether local Wi-Fi joins players across different platform families. If your friends are using different kinds of devices, online multiplayer is the crossplay option explicitly confirmed by Innersloth’s console announcement.
Does account linking affect crossplay?
Account linking and crossplay are separate matters. Linking is described as a way to bring account content—such as cosmetics, beans, stars, and experience—together; the cited guide does not say it is required to play with friends on other devices.

Innersloth’s account-linking guide, published June 21, 2022, said linking was available for PC, Android, iOS, and Xbox, was in progress for Nintendo Switch, and would not be available for PlayStation. Those platform-status details are dated, so check current Innersloth support information if you need to link accounts. They should not be treated as a current crossplay compatibility chart.

Among Us versus Among Us 3D
Among Us 3D is a separate game. Innersloth’s Among Us 3D page describes crossplay between PC and VR players, and explicitly says it is not compatible with the original Among Us. Its listed platforms include Steam PC, Meta Horizon Store, SteamVR, PlayStation VR2, and PICO. The publisher’s May 6, 2025 launch notes also announced PC–VR crossplay. A player in the 3D game cannot join a lobby in the original game through that feature.
