Monitor the Amazon Buy Box by checking the Featured Offer percentage in Seller Central’s Business Reports, then recording offer price, shipping, stock, delivery promise, and the conditions under which you checked the listing. Amazon now generally calls the Buy Box the Featured Offer. Its percentage measures page-view exposure—not sales, conversion, or a promise that your offer will remain selected.
What Amazon’s Buy Box monitoring can—and cannot—tell you
Amazon defines Featured Offer percentage as the total page views in which your offer is featured divided by the total page views for your products. It tells you how often shoppers saw your offer featured on product detail pages during the reporting period. It does not say how many shoppers bought from you or why the offer appeared or disappeared.
The Featured Offer is not a permanent badge attached to a listing. Amazon selects among offers using factors that include price, availability, and a customer’s shipping address. Current US guidance also identifies total price, delivery promise, free shipping, and customer experience as relevant considerations. A lower item price alone does not guarantee selection. See Amazon’s Offer placement guidance for US sellers.

How do I monitor my Amazon Buy Box?
Use Business Reports as your baseline
In Seller Central, open Reports > Business Reports and review the Featured Offer percentage for the relevant product. Report names and navigation can change, so use Seller Central’s report search or help if the label differs in your account. Treat the percentage as a trend for exposure, not as a real-time alert or a sales metric.

Keep a consistent listing and offer log
For a useful comparison over time, record the following each time you check:
- ASIN and variation (such as size or color).
- Date and time checked.
- Your offer’s item price and shipping charge, so the total price is clear.
- Whether the offer is in stock and shippable.
- The delivery promise shown to the customer.
- Whether your offer is the Featured Offer; add the Business Reports percentage when available.
- Customer context where you can control or observe it, such as shipping location, Prime context, or a delivery-date filter.
Compare like with like. Amazon says the displayed offer can differ by variation, shipping location, Prime context, and delivery-date filters. A single observation from one address or view is not proof that every shopper sees the same offer.
Investigate a change before changing price
If your Featured Offer share falls or the offer disappears, compare the latest log entry with the prior one. Check total price including shipping, inventory and shippability, delivery promise, and Pricing Health. Then check the listing under the relevant variation and customer context. A price change may be one explanation, but it is not the only one.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesHow to track Amazon listing and price changes
Amazon’s native reporting provides the Featured Offer percentage, while you can record the offer conditions that help explain changes. For a manual workflow, check key ASINs on a set schedule and save timestamped observations in a spreadsheet or internal log. Use a consistent location and customer context for trend comparisons, and note any context changes rather than treating the observations as directly comparable.

- Water and Dust Resistant: IP67 rating offers protection against dust and water immersion between 15 cm and 1 meter for up to 30 minutes

For each check, capture the listing and variation, your displayed offer and total price, availability, delivery promise, Featured Offer status, and the time and context. If you need a price history rather than periodic snapshots, record every observation; a current display alone does not establish when or why a prior change happened.
Why did I lose the Featured Offer?
There is no single guaranteed cause. Amazon’s guidance points to a combination of competitive total price, availability, shipping and delivery conditions, and customer experience. Check these in order:
- Confirm the observation. Recheck the same ASIN and variation, with the same shipping location and delivery filters if possible.
- Compare total price. Include shipping rather than looking only at the item price.
- Check availability and shippability. Verify the offer can be delivered to the relevant address.
- Review delivery promise and shipping. A faster or more certain delivery promise and free shipping can matter to selection.
- Inspect Pricing Health. Look for pricing-related issues in Seller Central that may affect the offer.
- Check Business Reports over time. Separate a single display variation from a sustained decrease in Featured Offer page-view share.
Amazon’s US help guidance states that, as of September 2026, seller eligibility is no longer a prerequisite for Featured Offer evaluation: all sellers’ offers can be evaluated, but individual offers may still not be selected if they are not competitive, and Amazon may show no Featured Offer when none meets customer experience requirements. This is a US-specific policy statement and can change; consult Amazon’s Becoming the Featured Offer guidance for current terms. Amazon announced a gradual global rollout beginning in July 2026 and completing by year-end, so do not assume the US timing applies identically in every marketplace.
What Automate Pricing does—and does not do
Amazon’s Automate Pricing can adjust prices in real time within parameters you set. It is a repricing tool, not a monitoring guarantee and not a promise that your offer will become the Featured Offer. Set boundaries that protect your margin and operating requirements; then monitor the resulting total price, inventory, delivery promise, and Featured Offer share rather than assuming that an automated price change solved the issue.

When third-party monitoring may help
Seller Central should be the starting point: it provides the Featured Offer percentage and Amazon’s own pricing automation. A separate service may be useful if you need a different check cadence, change history, broader ASIN or variation coverage, location-specific observations, or alerts tied to stock and delivery signals. Before choosing one, verify what it actually tracks—Featured Offer share versus price alone, how often it checks, what customer context it supports, which alert channels it offers, and whether repricing is optional or automatic. No monitoring service can guarantee that Amazon will select an offer.

For screenshot-based checks or records of how a listing appears, ScreenshotNeo can capture a page through one API request. It is a website screenshot API and MCP server, not an Amazon Featured Offer analytics service: use Seller Central for the official percentage and treat screenshots as visual observations, not proof of sales or universal display.
Cookie banners, popups, and chat widgets are removed before the shot; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are never billed. Its MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card, and paid plans start at $5 for 3,000.
Example cURL request for a listing page (replace the URL with the Amazon product page you want to capture):
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://www.amazon.com/dp/ASIN -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. Sign up for 1,000 free screenshots a month, with no card required.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Featured Offer percentage show my sales share?
No. It is a share of product page views in which your offer was featured, not a measure of orders or conversion.
Can changing my price guarantee the Buy Box?
No. Price is one factor; availability, shipping, delivery promise, customer experience, and customer context can also affect selection.
Can one Amazon product page display different Featured Offers to different shoppers?
Yes. Variation, shipping location, Prime context, and delivery-date filters can change which offer is displayed.
