2. Gyre: a cloud tool listed by YouTube
YouTube’s verified encoder directory identifies Gyre for cloud-based 24/7 prerecorded YouTube streams, making it a directly relevant alternative to running OBS locally. Local control: software encoders and dedicated hardware
Software encoders
OBS and other encoder software give you direct control over a production that may combine media, graphics, or live inputs. YouTube lists software encoders and production applications in its verified encoder directory. The cost of that control is operational: the source computer, encoder, and network connection must stay running, and you are responsible for handling power, software, and connection failures.

Check live-stream eligibility and activation time
YouTube says a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days is required to stream, and its stated minimum age for live streaming is 16. Set the audience designation in Live Control Room
YouTube requires creators to say whether their content is made for kids, regardless of where they live, and warns against relying on automated systems to determine the audience. For a live stream, make the audience selection in YouTube Live Control Room based on the actual content. Do not treat continuous playback as a monetization shortcut
YouTube’s monetization policy applies to live streams and expects monetized content to be original and authentic. The policy identifies mass-produced, repetitive, and reused content as areas reviewers assess. Troubleshoot the most common failures
The stream is not available to start
Check whether the channel is verified, has a live-streaming restriction, or has not completed first-time activation. YouTube says enablement may take up to 24 hours, so a newly enabled account may not be ready immediately.

The playlist stops or will not loop
Check that the selected plan supports continuous looping. For Castr, the documented infinite playlist loop is available on Premium and higher. Also check playlist, file-duration, and storage limits for the plan you are using.
The stream drops when using a local encoder
Check the computer’s power and sleep settings, encoder status, and internet connection. A local setup depends on all three staying available; plan how you will notice an interruption and restart the stream.
