Aloha Browser bundles a VPN, ad blocking, private tabs and media downloads, but those features do not amount to a guarantee of anonymity or complete protection. Its private mode clears some local browsing data when tabs close, while downloads remain; Aloha’s no-logs statements are company claims, and an independent review said the audit it examined did not appear to verify them. Whether Aloha is a good fit depends on your device, the features you need and how much independent evidence you require.

What Aloha Browser includes

Aloha presents itself as an all-in-one browser, combining web browsing with a built-in VPN, ad blocking, private browsing, and tools for saving and playing media. Its official site also lists Wi-Fi file sharing, data sync and web translation, and describes Premium as an option for additional features. Availability can vary by platform and plan, so check the product listing for your device rather than assuming every feature is included for every user. Aloha’s product site

The Google Play listing describes video, music and file downloads, a mini player, Wi-Fi sharing, VPN and ad blocker. The Apple App Store listing has its own release notes and offers annual and monthly “Aloha Premium & VPN” subscription options with free trials. Subscription terms and prices can vary by country and change over time; those listings do not establish a universal price. Apple also notes that it has not verified the developer’s privacy-practice disclosures. Google Play listing · Apple App Store listing

What private mode clears—and what it keeps

Aloha Support describes Normal and Private browsing modes. According to the company, closing private tabs deletes their history, searches and cookies. Bookmarks and downloaded files remain. Aloha Support: Browser types

That is local browser-data cleanup, not a promise that activity becomes invisible everywhere. Aloha itself warns, “However, some websites will still be able to track you.” Private mode alone should not be treated as hiding browsing from the sites you visit, or from every network operator, employer, school or internet provider. The support page recommends using its VPN with Private mode for what it calls maximum privacy; that recommendation is Aloha’s framing, not proof of comprehensive anonymity.

How strong is the VPN and privacy evidence?

Aloha says its privacy policy is regularly audited by Leviathan Security Group. Its privacy page says the software system’s code, documentation and processes passed an independent assessment, and claims that it does not hold user data or logs. Aloha Support also says it does not see what users browse through the VPN and that an email address is not required to connect. These are statements from the company, not independent confirmation of its logging practices. Aloha privacy information · Aloha Support: VPN data collection

In a review dated February 26, 2026, TechRadar said the audit it examined concerned security features of the iOS client and did not appear to assess Aloha’s no-logs claims. The reviewer also reported finding no specific mention of logging in the terms or privacy policy it checked. That describes the reviewer’s interpretation of the documents it reviewed; it is not a definitive assessment of Aloha’s current practices. TechRadar’s Aloha Browser review

The distinction matters: an audit of a client’s security is not necessarily an audit of a provider’s logging policy. The materials cited here establish that Aloha advertises an independent security assessment, but do not establish that the assessment independently validates the no-logs claim. If that assurance is important to you, read the current privacy policy and the audit’s scope, including what systems, platforms and claims it covers.

Ad blocking and other privacy controls

Aloha advertises a built-in ad blocker and privacy reports showing blocked ads, trackers and pop-ups. Its privacy page also describes passcode or biometric locks for the app and selected content, manual or automatic clearing of cookies, history and cache, and HTTPS-related handling. These are advertised features; the cited materials do not provide a comprehensive independent, cross-platform test showing that all ads or trackers are blocked or that malicious content is prevented. Downloads: check your device’s file access

Aloha promotes downloading and managing media and other files, but the experience may differ by operating system. In a reply on its Google Play listing to a user asking about access outside the browser, the developer said Google Play policy meant Aloha downloads could be accessed only inside the app. That is a stated Android limitation; it does not establish the same restriction for iOS, macOS, Windows or Linux. If you need to export or open downloads in another app, confirm how that works on your specific device before relying on Aloha as a file manager. Also note that downloaded files are retained when private tabs close, according to Aloha’s description of Private mode.

What an independent desktop review found

TechRadar’s February 26, 2026 review reported that its desktop free account connected to an automatically selected server and disconnected after the reviewer left the browser for 60 seconds. In that reviewer’s tests, download speeds were just over 200 Mbps. Streaming results were mixed to poor: Prime Video displayed an HD-support warning, BBC iPlayer rejected the location, and Disney+ and Paramount+ showed regional unavailability. TechRadar’s Aloha Browser review

Those observations are specific to that reviewer’s desktop test and the account and services used. They should not be read as current mobile results, a guarantee of what every location or plan will do, or a prediction of present-day streaming compatibility.

Who Aloha Browser may suit

  • Consider it if you want browser-level convenience: browsing, private tabs, a VPN, ad-blocking controls and media downloads in one app, and you are comfortable checking how each feature works on your platform.
  • Look more closely before relying on it if your decision depends on independently verified no-logs assurance, protection beyond browser traffic, dependable access to downloads outside the app, or a VPN that works continuously when the browser is not in use.
  • Compare alternatives by evidence, not feature labels: check whether a VPN covers the browser or the whole device, whether free use has conditions, whether an audit explicitly addresses logging, what private mode retains, whether ad blocking has independent test results, how downloads export on your OS, and which features require a paid tier. Aloha’s own comparison table names browsers such as Brave, Opera, Chrome and Safari, but it is vendor-authored rather than independent comparative testing. Aloha’s product site
