In Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, a September 18, 2026 guide reports three activities that can drop a random Exotic: the Duck Race north of Heatwave Harbor, the Mega Maze Vault, and the Tetris Tower Rift Anomaly. None guarantees an Exotic or a specific weapon. For the best practical route, choose whichever activity is closest to your drop; the guide says all three can award any item in its listed pool.
Where to find Exotic weapons in Fortnite Override
The locations and steps below are reported by AllThingsHow’s guide, updated September 18, 2026. Epic’s official updates confirm some seasonal context, but do not independently verify all three Exotic sources.
Duck Race north of Heatwave Harbor
- Land at the Duck Race north of Heatwave Harbor and start the race.
- Wait for the ducks to reach the finish line south of the point of interest.
- Check the reward after the finish; an Exotic may drop.
The reward is chance-based, not guaranteed.
Mega Maze Vault
- Enter the Mega Maze and shoot the moving Braziers to earn a Vault Key.
- Bring the key back to the main building and use it to open the vault.
- Search the Rare Chests inside; one may produce an Exotic.
The Exotic is a possible chest reward, not a guaranteed vault payout.

Tetris Tower Rift Anomaly
- Look for the Tetris Tower, which appears at a random map location each match.
- Climb to the summit and activate the rift.
- Collect the one random Exotic and additional rewards.
Epic’s v42.20 update notes describe Tetris Tower as a mid-match objective that can appear around the Island; the specific Exotic reward details come from the September guide.

Which Exotic weapons can drop?
AllThingsHow’s September 18 list names five Exotics and their reported effects. The guide says any of the three activities can roll any of these items, but publishes no drop rates or odds.
| Exotic | Reported effect |
|---|---|
| Overclocked 8-Bit Shotgun | Siphons health and shield from enemies when it deals damage. |
| Exotic Rebecca’s Guns | Bullets ricochet off surfaces and cause explosions. |
| Accelerant Drum Gun | Fire rate and movement speed rise the longer you hold the trigger. |
| Balloon Popper Assault Rifle | Balloon explosions give opponents balloons; eliminated balloon players drop healing orbs. |
| Overpowered Shotgun | Damage rises with consecutive hits and resets after a miss. |
Epic’s v42.20 notes specifically confirm Rebecca’s Guns as a new weapon and describe seeking its Exotic version for ricocheting bullets. They do not confirm the full five-item list.

Which source should you try first?
There is no published comparison of drop rates or completion times, so the available information does not support ranking one activity as faster or more reliable. Instead, use map proximity: the guide recommends repeating whichever of the three sources is closest to your drop, since each can roll the same listed pool.

How current is this Override location list?
Epic’s v42.00 notes introduce Chapter 7 Season 4: Override and describe its seasonal gameplay, weapons, and Override mechanics. The v42.20 notes add Rebecca’s Guns and discuss Tetris Tower. Epic’s October 1, 2026 Fortnitemares notes list other weapon, Loot Hack, and vault changes, but do not confirm whether the Duck Race, Mega Maze Vault, Tetris Tower Rift Anomaly, or the five-item Exotic pool changed. That silence does not prove the guide’s details remained unchanged after September 18. Check in-game or consult a later official Battle Royale loot update if you need confirmation for a newer patch.
