To keep a 24/7 YouTube gaming replay stream stable on Airtel broadband, set the encoder to a bitrate your connection can sustain on upload, use Ethernet where possible, test the actual replay as an unlisted stream, and monitor YouTube stream health and OBS dropped frames. A plan’s advertised speed or a download test alone cannot show whether your outbound connection will hold the stream around the clock.
Choose a stream profile your upload can sustain
For a live broadcast, upload capacity is the critical direction: the encoder sends video from your home to YouTube. YouTube advises planning for the primary stream and any backup stream, plus 20% extra outbound capacity. Treat that as headroom guidance, not as proof that an Airtel connection at a particular advertised speed will be stable.
YouTube’s current H.264 encoder table lists these video bitrate values. They are encoder settings, not measurements of Airtel service or guarantees of continuous performance.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →| Resolution and frame rate | Minimum video bitrate | Recommended video bitrate |
|---|---|---|
| 720p at 30 fps | 3 Mbps | 8 Mbps |
| 720p at 60 fps | 3 Mbps | 8 Mbps |
| 1080p at 30 fps | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps |
| 1080p at 60 fps | 6 Mbps | 17 Mbps |
Pick the resolution and frame rate for the footage and available sustained upload, then leave capacity for variation and ordinary household traffic. Fast gameplay may benefit from 60 fps, but a lower profile that stays steady is preferable to a higher one that repeatedly drops frames. Do not choose a profile based only on a download-speed result.

Use YouTube-compatible encoder settings
- Set bitrate encoding to CBR (constant bitrate).
- Set the keyframe interval to two seconds; YouTube recommends no more than four seconds.
- Use RTMPS when available in the encoder’s YouTube server settings.
- Choose a supported codec—H.264, H.265 (HEVC), or AV1—and consult YouTube’s current encoder table for that codec. The bitrate examples above are specifically for H.264.
These settings make the outgoing stream conform to YouTube’s guidance; they cannot correct a weak or unstable broadband route.
Connect the streaming computer to Airtel’s router by Ethernet
Where practical, connect the computer running OBS or another encoder directly to the router with an Ethernet cable. YouTube recommends Ethernet for computer live streaming, and OBS notes that Wi-Fi can be unstable and recommends a wired connection when possible. This removes Wi-Fi as one potential weak link between the computer and router. It does not increase Airtel’s upstream capacity or solve congestion beyond your home network.

Test the replay and watch for dropped frames
- Configure the encoder with the intended resolution, frame rate, codec, bitrate, and keyframe interval.
- Start an unlisted YouTube test using the same game replay, scene movement, and audio you plan to broadcast. YouTube recommends testing with similar movement and audio.
- While it runs, check YouTube’s stream health and OBS’s dropped-frame indicator. Also measure outbound upload under normal household conditions; a download-only speed test does not answer the relevant question.
- Record the time and conditions when a test degrades or disconnects. If it happens repeatedly at particular hours, include those timestamps and your test results when contacting Airtel support.
OBS defines dropped frames as a connection to the remote server that is unstable or cannot keep up with the selected bitrate. If they appear, first check whether the bitrate exceeds what your upload can sustain, then investigate the local network and possible route or congestion issues. OBS also lists VPN software, network-optimization utilities, outdated drivers, and faulty network equipment as possible causes. These are diagnostic possibilities, not a guaranteed fix for an Airtel-side problem.

- Next-Gen Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Speeds: 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz bands ensure smoother streaming and faster downloads; support VPN server and VPN client¹
- A More Responsive Experience: Enjoy smooth gaming, video streaming, and live feeds simultaneously. OFDMA makes your Wi-Fi stronger by allowing multiple clients to share one band at the same time, cutting latency and jitter.²
- Expanded Wi-Fi Coverage: 4 high-gain external antennas and Beamforming technology combine to extend strong, reliable, Wi-Fi throughout your home.
- Improved Battery Life: Target Wake Time helps your devices to communicate efficiently while consuming less power.
- Improved Cooling Design: No heat ups, no throttles. A larger heat sink and redefined case design cools the WiFi 6 system and enables your network to stay at top speeds in more versatile environments.
Airtel India’s broadband terms currently state a 3333 GB allowance in a billing cycle, after which speed is reduced to 1 Mbps, and say that the FUP may be amended. Check the terms and usage for your own account before relying on this figure. If that reduction applies, 1 Mbps is below YouTube’s cited H.264 minimum video bitrate for both 720p and 1080p, so the existing profile is unlikely to remain viable at those settings.
If Airtel fiber par YouTube live stream drop ho, troubleshoot in this order
- OBS dropped frames rise: lower the encoder bitrate to a level your sustained upload can carry, then repeat an unlisted test. Confirm that enough upload remains for any backup stream and other network use.
- The computer is on Wi-Fi: test over Ethernet to separate a local wireless issue from an internet-route issue.
- Problems recur at busy times: log exact times, stream-health warnings, and outbound test results. Share them with Airtel support; peak-time congestion or route changes may be outside OBS’s control.
- Problems persist on Ethernet at a conservative bitrate: check network equipment and drivers, and temporarily test whether VPN or network-optimization software is interfering. Change one variable at a time so the result is useful.
- Service slows after heavy use: check Airtel account usage and the current FUP terms, rather than assuming a bitrate adjustment alone will solve a data-threshold reduction.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Airtel broadband speed-test result prove a 24/7 stream will be stable?
No. A download result or advertised plan speed does not establish sustained outbound capacity or route stability. Test upload with the intended stream profile and monitor an unlisted broadcast.
Should I use 720p or 1080p for a gaming replay?
Choose based on the upload capacity you can sustain, the motion detail you want, and the encoder bitrate required. YouTube’s H.264 recommendations are listed above; test your chosen profile before going public.
