Copilot brings review to GitHub and several development environments; CodeRabbit centers its product on PR review with adjacent services; Graphite Diamond is part of Graphite’s GitHub-focused stacked-PR workflow. Choose based on where your team works, which capabilities it needs, and how it will manage usage—not on an accuracy ranking that available evidence does not establish.
How the three tools differ
| Tool | Documented workflow | Questions to resolve before choosing |
|---|---|---|
| GitHub Copilot code review | Review on GitHub.com, GitHub CLI, GitHub Mobile, VS Code, Visual Studio, Xcode, and JetBrains IDEs; Azure DevOps is listed as public preview in GitHub Docs. GitHub’s code-review documentation describes these surfaces. | Does the team want review in its existing GitHub and editor workflows, and can it plan for AI-credit and potentially Actions-minute usage? |
| CodeRabbit | Pull-request review, alongside documented triage, change-stack, CLI, security, and agent features. Its pricing page describes plan-based capabilities and separate on-demand Security Scan and Agent offerings. CodeRabbit pricing and its FAQ describe the current offering. | Does the team want a review-focused product with optional related services, and which capabilities are included in its chosen plan? |
| Graphite Diamond | Diamond is positioned as a codebase-aware AI review agent within Graphite’s broader workflow, including stacked pull requests, CLI, VS Code, PR inbox, and team insights. See Graphite’s Diamond documentation. | Is the team evaluating Graphite’s stacked-PR workflow as a whole, rather than a reviewer in isolation? |
These are vendor-described product contexts, not evidence that one tool finds more defects than another. No comparable independent defect-detection result or head-to-head evaluation is established here.
GitHub Copilot: review across GitHub and editor workflows
GitHub says Copilot code review reviews pull requests, identifies issues, and suggests fixes. The documented surfaces include GitHub.com and several IDEs and clients, which can make it relevant to teams that want AI feedback close to their existing GitHub and coding workflows. Azure DevOps support is identified as public preview in the cited GitHub documentation, so treat that availability differently from general availability.
Access and billing need a closer look than a single subscription label suggests. Paid Copilot plans are eligible for code review. For organizations on Business and Enterprise, administrators can enable GitHub.com review for members without individual Copilot licenses; the organization is billed through AI credits for that usage. Plan inclusion, available credits, and usage treatment depend on the selected plan and workflow. GitHub’s plans page and code-review documentation are the places to verify current terms.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. - Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
GitHub’s product page also notes that review workflows may use Actions minutes beginning June 1, 2026. Because billing details can change, confirm how AI credits and Actions minutes apply to your intended setup before estimating cost. The retrieved plans page listed individual Pro at $10 per user per month, Pro+ at $39, Max at $100, Business at $19 per user per month, and Enterprise at $39 per user per month; those figures are time-sensitive, and eligibility or sign-up availability may vary. Do not treat them as a current quote without checking GitHub’s live plans page.
CodeRabbit: review-centered offering with adjacent services
CodeRabbit presents AI pull-request review alongside related capabilities such as triage, change-stack support, CLI, one-click fixes, and pre-merge checks. Its official pricing page describes plan-based review capabilities, an Enterprise option, and separate on-demand Security Scan and Agent products. The FAQ says public repositories can receive free reviews. Check the pricing page and the FAQ for current plan names, eligibility, and limits rather than assuming a feature or free-review condition applies to every repository or account.

This breadth may suit a team looking for review plus related PR workflow or security and agent services. It does not establish that CodeRabbit’s review is more accurate or comprehensive than the alternatives.
Graphite Diamond: review as part of a stacked-PR workflow
Graphite’s documentation positions Diamond as its codebase-aware AI review agent within a wider GitHub-centered product that includes stacked pull requests, CLI, VS Code, a PR inbox, and team insights. That makes Diamond most directly relevant when a team is considering Graphite’s workflow as a whole, not simply seeking a standalone reviewer. This is an inference from Graphite’s product documentation, not a measured productivity or quality advantage.

How to choose for your team
- Start with where pull requests are reviewed. If the team wants review available across GitHub and familiar editors, investigate Copilot’s supported surfaces and administrator controls.
- Decide whether you want review alone or a broader PR workflow. CodeRabbit documents review with related triage, fixes, security, and agent offerings. Graphite Diamond is tied to Graphite’s stacked-PR workflow.
- Map the billable units to actual use. For Copilot, check plan eligibility, AI credits, and any applicable Actions-minute usage. For CodeRabbit, check plan inclusions and separately billed offerings. For Graphite, confirm current price and limits directly.
- Review organizational and repository requirements. Confirm who can enable the tool, which repositories and pull requests it can access, and what controls your organization needs before rollout.
- Pilot against your own review standards. Track whether feedback is actionable, correct, and useful in your codebase; check false positives and missed issues using a consistent process. Do not infer quality from feature lists or product positioning.
What the available evidence says about review quality
Vendor feature descriptions establish what the companies say their products do; they do not show which tool catches more real defects. Graphite’s 2024 State of Code Review report says it analyzed more than 5 million pull requests from over 35,000 engineers. Those are Graphite’s stated sample figures for its report, not a comparison of Diamond with Copilot or CodeRabbit. See Graphite’s 2024 report.

Keep AI suggestions inside a human-led review process. GitHub advises: “Of course, you should always use GitHub Copilot together with good testing and code review practices and security tools, as well as your own judgment.” That is GitHub’s guidance, not independent validation of any tool.
