Mortas, the Insidious, is presented in BlueStacks’ AFK Arena guide as a Hypogean support who empowers the allied hero with the highest Attack Rating while stealing enemy health or shields, healing an injured ally, and redirecting an enemy’s health regeneration. The skill numbers below come from the community reference AFK Global; they are stated values, not independently confirmed live-game values.
Who is Mortas?
BlueStacks describes Mortas as a former human who became a Hypogean. In the article’s account, he performed as a clown, was mocked, was imprisoned for a crime he had not committed, and was abused by other inmates. He then made a deal with a Hypogean narrator to gain power and seek revenge. This is the story as told by the BlueStacks guide, not a separately verified, complete account of his lore. | Ability | Target and effect | Values stated by AFK Global |
|---|---|---|
| Empowerment | Targets the allied hero with the highest Attack Rating, increasing Attack Rating and Attack Speed and granting Greed effects through the battle. | 25% of the target’s own Attack Rating and 25 Attack Speed points. |
| Greed | A passive effect on Mortas’s normal attacks that steals enemy health and shield value, subject to a per-enemy interval and a cap. | Steals 4% of current enemy health and 10% of shield; can trigger once per enemy every 1.5 seconds. Health stolen is capped at 220% of Mortas’s Attack Rating. |
| Blood Pact | Mortas spends some of his current health to heal the most injured non-summoned ally. | Consumes 10% of Mortas’s current health and heals for twice the amount consumed. |
| Devilish Deal | Selects the enemy that has regenerated the most health. That enemy first recovers health, then its subsequent regenerated health is transferred to Mortas for a period. | Initially restores 15% of the selected enemy’s maximum health, then transfers its regenerated health for 15 seconds. |
The numeric descriptions are from AFK Global’s Mortas character guide, a community reference rather than an official game source. BlueStacks’ guide describes the abilities’ functions but the values should not be taken as independently verified current-game data.

Who should Mortas buff?
Empowerment chooses the ally with the highest Attack Rating; the player does not select a different target for that skill. The BlueStacks guide’s logic is to use Mortas alongside a carry: the buff raises that hero’s Attack Rating and Attack Speed, while Greed adds health- and shield-stealing effects to Mortas’s attacks. Which hero receives the buff therefore depends on the team’s Attack Ratings.
How the guide recommends using his other skills
Use Devilish Deal against healing
BlueStacks recommends Devilish Deal against opponents that restore health, naming Nemora and Rowan, and says it counters Izold’s healing. The skill targets the enemy that has regenerated the most health, rather than a manually selected opponent. These are the guide’s historical tactical recommendations, not confirmation that Mortas is currently an optimal counter to those heroes.

Blood Pact trades Mortas’s health for an ally’s
Blood Pact targets the most injured non-summoned ally. Its stated base description consumes 10% of Mortas’s current health and heals that ally for twice the consumed amount. Because the cost comes from Mortas’s health, the ability is not a free heal for the team.
