Morrow is a Lightbearer Intelligence mage whose kit combines damage with control: he can block enemy ultimates, immobilize a target, and turn a high-damage enemy against its allies. BlueStacks’ guide recommends pairing him with Rosaline or Rowan for energy support, and Raku for follow-up damage. The skill values and upgrade effects below are those reported by BlueStacks and AFK Global; check Morrow’s in-game ability screen because the guides do not establish that these details reflect the current balance.
Who is Morrow in AFK Arena?
BlueStacks classifies Morrow, also known as “The Dark Crow,” as a Lightbearer mage of the Intelligence type. AFK Global likewise lists him as a Lightbearer Mage and describes his theme as controlling demons. His dark appearance and abilities may suggest another faction, but the guides identify him as a Lightbearer.

In BlueStacks’ story summary, Korgas manipulates Morrow’s family and the villagers who kill his brother, Bryn. Morrow traps Korgas in his tome and erases the demon’s memories. BlueStacks and AFK Global both reproduce Morrow’s line, “I don’t need such folly.”
What does Morrow do?
Morrow’s four abilities mix control with damage. The effects and coefficients in this section are reported by the BlueStacks Morrow guide and cross-checked against AFK Global’s Morrow character guide; they are not independently verified live-game values.

Eye of Evil
Morrow summons an Eye that deals 200% damage five times to enemies in range. Enemies burned by it cannot use their ultimate for four seconds. The BlueStacks guide lists a level 81 upgrade that raises the damage to 240%, and a level 161 upgrade that extends the ultimate lockout to six seconds.
Binding Terror
A spider cocoons an enemy, dealing 220% damage and preventing movement for four seconds. The guide lists these upgrades: level 21 raises damage to 250%; level 101 prevents the target from moving or using abilities for six seconds; and level 181 raises damage to 280%.
Demonic Murmurs
Morrow releases Korgas behind the enemy described as having dealt the highest total damage. Korgas deals 250% damage and manipulates the target to attack its allies for six seconds. While manipulated, the enemy cannot use its ultimate and is not targeted by Binding Terror. Listed upgrades raise the damage to 280% at level 121 and 330% at level 201.
Abyssal Retribution
This ability adds 220% damage to an enemy while Morrow attacks it, with a four-second limit before it can target the same enemy again. The guide lists a level 141 upgrade that adds damage equal to 10% of the target’s damage dealt, capped at 400% of Morrow’s Attack Rating. At level 221, the effect also triggers while the enemy is manipulated by Korgas.
What do Morrow’s Signature Item, furniture, and engraving do?
AFK Global lists these progression effects. They are database entries, not a recommendation to invest in any particular feature; which upgrades are worthwhile depends on your account and the mode you play.
Signature Item: Abyssal Tome
After Korgas is released, crows attack the manipulated target, ignore its Defense Rating, and deal 100% damage per second until manipulation ends. AFK Global lists the following Signature Item milestones:
Rank #2
- A Good Smile Arts Shanghai import
- From the popular fantasy RPG game
- Three face plates included for multiple expressions
- Optional parts include her Broom of Life and effect parts to recreate her skill Spring Cleaning
- Afternoon tea set also included
- +10: Crow damage increases to 150% per second.
- +20: Each crow attack heals Morrow for the damage it deals.
- +30: Allied units prioritize enemies not manipulated by Demonic Murmurs.
- +40: Crow damage increases to 300% per second while still ignoring Defense Rating.
Furniture: Devilish Pact
AFK Global lists a 3/9 effect that extends Morrow’s debuff durations as allied non-summoned heroes lose health, up to the effect’s listed maximum. Its 9/9 effect makes Abyssal Retribution’s damaging effects hit an enemy each time that enemy applies a negative effect to an ally, subject to a four-second trigger limit.

The database lists E30 as extending Demonic Murmurs’ manipulation to eight seconds. E60 increases Abyssal Retribution’s target-damage percentage and cap. AFK Global also shows an E80 entry tied to specified competitive modes; it does not establish that this is a universal priority.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which heroes work well with Morrow?
BlueStacks names three partners. These are the guide’s suggestions, not a current, independently tested ranking.
| Hero | Role in the suggested pairing | What BlueStacks says |
|---|---|---|
| Rosaline | Energy support | Motivation supports Morrow and restores his energy to maximum during battle. |
| Rowan | Energy and control utility | The article says Rowan can steal enemy energy for Morrow and that Dazzle can provide energy or stun enemies. |
| Raku | Follow-up damage | The guide presents Raku as damage against the target associated with Demonic Murmurs and describes Acorn Cannon as dealing damage and stunning. |
Use the roles as team-building questions rather than a fixed lineup: can the rest of your team help Morrow get to his abilities, control enemies that escape his effects, or add damage while a target is manipulated? Also account for faction or mode requirements. The cited guides do not support ranking Morrow against other heroes or calling any pairing best-in-slot.
Is Morrow a current meta pick?
The reviewed guides do not establish Morrow’s current meta rank or provide date-stamped, independently tested performance under the current balance. AFK Global displays mode ratings, but the retrieved information does not show their methodology or update date. Treat the published skill coefficients and ratings as reference information, not evidence of win rates or present-day effectiveness.
How to play AFK Arena on PC
BlueStacks’ Morrow guide also promotes playing AFK Arena on PC and mentions Multi-Instance Sync. That is a PC-play option, not a Morrow-specific gameplay advantage. Its mention does not establish current emulator requirements or availability.
