Why was Aether Industries facing the GST demand?

Aether’s April 24, 2026 filing said it had received the notice on April 23. The amount demanded was ₹4,26,16,311—about ₹4.26 crore—plus interest, according to the company’s disclosure.

What the disclosure does—and does not—establish
The reported resolution concerns this specific Aether proceeding. The company’s October filing summarizes the authority’s conclusion, but the detailed adjudication order is not available in the cited disclosures. The filings therefore do not establish the authority’s full reasoning or create a general precedent for how GST authorities will treat IPO-related input tax credit claims in other cases.
