Yes—Adobe and Microsoft have documented technical and commercial partnerships, but “supported by Microsoft” does not mean Microsoft owns Adobe or provides support for every Adobe product. Adobe describes Microsoft Azure hosting for several of its cloud services, integrations between Adobe products and Microsoft apps, and joint enterprise and AI workflows. The practical details depend on the product, plan, configuration, and feature availability.
What “supported by Microsoft” means here
The phrase can refer to different relationships. Adobe’s published materials describe several concrete connections, but they do not establish a blanket Microsoft support entitlement for all Adobe customers.
- Cloud hosting: Adobe identifies Azure as infrastructure hosting for Adobe Experience Cloud, Creative Cloud, and Document Cloud. Adobe says it remains responsible for day-to-day management of the relevant services; Microsoft access is limited and governed by controls. This is Adobe’s description of its infrastructure, not evidence that Microsoft owns or operates Adobe products. Adobe’s subprocessor disclosure describes this arrangement.
- Product integrations: Adobe documents workflows connecting Acrobat and Acrobat Sign with Microsoft applications and services. Those integrations let users carry out specific document tasks across products; they do not make every feature available in every plan or setup.
- Enterprise collaboration: Adobe and Microsoft have announced joint marketing and AI workflows, including integrations involving Microsoft 365 Copilot and agents. Announced plans and capabilities should not be assumed to be generally available to every customer.
- Customer support: The cited materials do not show that Microsoft is the support provider for every Adobe service. Check the support terms for the specific Adobe product, Microsoft service, and deployment.
Where Adobe products connect to Microsoft products
Adobe lists document workflows involving Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365. Depending on the product and configuration, examples include creating and sharing PDFs, sending documents for signature, tracking signature status, and incorporating document processes into Microsoft workflows. Adobe’s Microsoft integration page describes the named connections. Confirm the current feature details for the account and app you plan to use.

A business can use Acrobat or Acrobat Sign alongside Microsoft productivity and document tools—for instance, handling PDF tasks in Microsoft 365 or signature workflows connected to Teams or SharePoint. The integration is useful when a document needs to move between those environments, but the exact actions available depend on the applicable Adobe and Microsoft products and configuration.
#1 Best Overall
Directory synchronization for enterprise administration
Adobe documents an Azure Sync workflow that synchronizes directory information with Adobe Admin Console, including group-based assignment. Adobe’s Azure Sync FAQ states an entitlement requirement of Premium P1 or P2, or Microsoft 365 E3 or A3. Because licensing names and eligibility can change, verify the current FAQ and setup instructions before relying on that requirement.
Adobe services that use Azure
Adobe’s subprocessor disclosure identifies Azure hosting for Adobe Experience Cloud, Creative Cloud, and Document Cloud. It also says Adobe offers Azure OpenAI for selected in-product features when customers choose to use them, citing Acrobat AI Assistant as an example. This describes a specific infrastructure and feature relationship; it does not establish that all Adobe products run on Azure or that Microsoft manages Adobe’s services day to day. See Adobe’s disclosure for its account of the arrangement.

Joint marketing and AI workflows
The partnership extends beyond document tools. Adobe’s partnership overview describes access to Adobe campaign and audience insights through Adobe Marketing Agent in Microsoft Teams, Word, and PowerPoint, alongside broader combinations of Adobe data, cloud infrastructure, and activation workflows.
The companies have also announced work involving Microsoft 365 Copilot and Adobe agents. In March 2024, Adobe announced plans to bring Adobe Experience Cloud workflows and insights into Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365. In 2025, Adobe described Adobe Marketing Agent and Adobe Express Agent in Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Marketing Agent’s place in Microsoft Agent 365. These dated announcements document the direction of the collaboration, not universal current availability. Check Adobe’s and Microsoft’s product information for the status, region, and eligibility of a capability before planning around it.
In an announcement dated November 18, 2025, Adobe quoted Nirav Shah, corporate vice president of Microsoft Agent 365, describing the partner context: “Microsoft Agent 365 is designed for partners like Adobe to deliver new value for our shared customers with complete integration of AI into daily workflows.” The statement concerns Agent 365 collaboration; it is not a general technical-support commitment.
Choose the connection that fits the job
| Job to do | Relevant connection | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Create, share, or manage PDFs and signatures | Acrobat or Acrobat Sign with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, or Dynamics 365 | Whether the specific workflow and features are supported by the products, plans, and configuration in use. |
| Manage Adobe enterprise users through a directory | Adobe Admin Console Azure Sync | Current subscription entitlement, directory configuration, and group-based assignment requirements in Adobe’s FAQ. |
| Run Adobe cloud services | Adobe Experience Cloud, Creative Cloud, and Document Cloud use Azure hosting according to Adobe | The service-specific terms and Adobe documentation; the hosting relationship does not itself establish Microsoft support coverage. |
| Explore marketing insights or AI-agent workflows | Adobe’s described Microsoft 365 and Copilot connections | Current availability, region, plan, and whether the feature is generally available or remains at another announced status. |
Adobe’s partnership page and integration page describe vendor-specific workflows. The available materials do not provide an exhaustive feature matrix or price comparison across all Adobe and Microsoft products.

What the partnership does not establish
- Microsoft owns Adobe or universally operates Adobe’s products.
- Every Adobe product is hosted on Azure.
- Microsoft provides support for every Adobe product, customer, plan, or region.
- Every announced Copilot or agent feature is generally available to all customers.
For a support issue, use the support channel and terms attached to the particular service. For a planned integration, verify the current product documentation and eligibility before deployment.
