What adidas’ KoRn collaboration shows
Adidas News announced the KoRn collaboration on 19 October 2023. The collection included Campus 00s and Supermodified sneakers, plus graphic T-shirts, a hoodie and tracksuits. Check whether a past release is still available
Adidas’ official US KoRn collection page labels the drop sold out. That is the status shown on that page, not proof that every retailer or reseller has no remaining pairs. What Vans adds to the comparison
Vans has documented band collaborations across punk, metal and other music scenes, including Metallica, Motörhead, Millencolin, No Doubt and Iron Maiden. Metallica’s 14 February 2018 announcement gives a concrete example: Vans x Metallica included Sk8-Hi Reissue and Classic Slip-On footwear, as well as apparel and a trucker hat. For a band weighing the options, those models signal a different footwear identity from the adidas KoRn silhouettes. - Start with audience fit. Compare the brand’s established sneaker identity with the band’s artwork, stage image and the styles its fans would plausibly wear.
- Choose the product shape before the logo. The documented examples range from Campus 00s and Supermodified to Sk8-Hi Reissue and Classic Slip-On. Decide what kind of shoe can carry the design and suit the audience.
- Plan the complete drop. The examples include apparel and accessories as well as shoes. Decide whether a footwear release stands alone or belongs in a broader merchandise collection.
- Separate precedent from access. Historical collaborations show that a brand has worked with bands before; they do not reveal whether it accepts unsolicited proposals, what its eligibility rules are, or the odds of approval.
- Verify the route with the company. Use the brand’s official channels to ask whether a relevant partnership contact or application process exists, and confirm current terms directly rather than relying on old releases.
What about Nike and other sneaker brands?

Can fans still find adidas Originals x KoRn shoes?
