Google’s hidden tennis mini-game was reported inside the Wimbledon scores panel in Search. The route documented in July 2019 was to search for “wimbledon scores,” scroll the event-category row to its end, and tap the tennis-ball icon. That historical route may no longer work: the game’s availability in October 2026 has not been confirmed.
How to find the hidden Google tennis game
TechCrunch reported the following steps on July 11, 2019. They describe where the game appeared then, not a guarantee that the panel or icon is still available.
- Open Google Search and search for wimbledon scores.
- Look for the purple Wimbledon tournament panel in the results.
- Scroll the row of event categories across the panel to its end.
- If a small tennis-ball icon appears, tap or click it to open the game.
If you do not see the Wimbledon panel or the icon, the game may not be offered for your search, location, browser, or device—or it may no longer be available. The 2019 report does not establish which of those explains a missing icon today.
How the game works
The reported mini-game is a simple, Pong-like tennis rally. Move your player into position to return the ball. A successful return earns a point; missing the ball ends the game. TechCrunch said it worked on mobile and desktop. Its author found desktop easier, which is a personal preference rather than a general performance finding.

Is this the same as Google’s tennis Doodle?
No. Google’s archive lists a separate “Start of the 2015 US Open Tennis Championship” Doodle, launched August 31, 2015. Google describes that Doodle as imagining its letters playing tennis. It is distinct from the Wimbledon Search mini-game reported in 2019, and its presence in the Doodle archive does not show that the Search game is currently accessible.
Google’s Doodles library is a place to explore its Doodles, but it does not confirm the current status of this Search Easter egg.
