The realme P4 Power 5G offers a larger stated battery, faster charging, a higher-resolution 144Hz curved display and more versatile rear-camera hardware. The POCO M8 Power 5G costs less for the reported 8GB/128GB configuration and has the longer reported software-support commitment. In India launch-period price reporting, the realme 8GB/128GB model was ₹2,000 more expensive. Neither is the better choice for everyone: the decision comes down to whether you value realme’s hardware advantages more than POCO’s lower price and longer update policy.
India price difference: realme costs ₹2,000 more for 8GB/128GB
The following are India launch-period prices reported by 91mobiles on 10 August 2026, not verified current checkout prices. Compare matching memory and storage configurations rather than the cheapest listings, which are not equivalent.
| Phone and configuration | Reported India price |
|---|---|
| POCO M8 Power 5G, 6GB/128GB | ₹24,999 (91mobiles, reported 10 August 2026) |
| POCO M8 Power 5G, 8GB/128GB | ₹27,999 (91mobiles, reported 10 August 2026) |
| realme P4 Power 5G, 8GB/128GB | ₹29,999 (91mobiles, reported 10 August 2026) |
| realme P4 Power 5G, 8GB/256GB | ₹31,999 (91mobiles, reported 10 August 2026) |
| realme P4 Power 5G, 12GB/256GB | ₹34,999 (91mobiles, reported 10 August 2026) |
For 8GB/128GB, the reported difference is ₹2,000, with realme higher. The POCO’s ₹24,999 entry configuration has 6GB RAM, so it is not a like-for-like comparison with realme’s least expensive listed configuration. Check local listings for current prices, stock and exact variant before buying.
Battery and charging: realme has the larger capacity and higher rated power
realme lists a 10,001mAh battery and 80W charging for the P4 Power 5G. The POCO M8 Power 5G is reported with an 8,000mAh battery and 45W wired charging. Both are also reported to support wired reverse charging, which lets the phone supply power to another device.

These figures describe capacity and rated charging power, not a measured head-to-head result. They do not establish how many hours either phone will last for a particular person or how long a full recharge will take. realme publishes lab-use estimates—11.7 hours of BGMI, 32.5 hours of YouTube and 185.7 hours of Spotify—but attributes them to realme Lab and says actual results may vary; they are manufacturer claims, not independent battery tests. See realme’s P4 Power 5G product page for its specifications and qualification.
Display: realme specifies more resolution and refresh rate; POCO is slightly larger
The realme has a curved 1.5K display with a stated 144Hz refresh rate. Launch coverage describes the POCO’s panel as a 6.83-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with adaptive refresh up to 120Hz. On stated resolution and maximum refresh rate, realme leads; the reported POCO diagonal is slightly larger.
Refresh rate and resolution are specifications, not guarantees of a visibly better experience in every app. Brightness figures from different manufacturers should not be treated as directly comparable without matching test methods. realme’s official specifications page notes that regional availability can affect some features, so confirm the local model before purchase.

Performance, memory and cameras: realme has the more ambitious listed hardware
realme lists a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset. 91mobiles reports the POCO M8 Power 5G uses a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 and assesses the realme as better suited to heavier use. That is a published spec-based assessment, not a controlled benchmark or a guarantee of performance in a particular game or workload.

On the rear, realme lists a 50MP Sony main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The comparison reports a single 50MP rear camera for POCO. OIS can help counter small movements in still photos and video, while an ultrawide camera offers a wider framing option; those hardware differences give realme more photographic flexibility on paper. They do not establish which phone produces better images in practice, since no controlled side-by-side camera test is established here.
Choose a memory/storage tier based on your own needs and the price available locally. The India launch-period listings include POCO 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB options, while realme is reported in 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB configurations. The price gap changes with configuration, so do not carry the ₹2,000 8GB/128GB difference over to other variants.

Software support: POCO has the longer reported commitment
In its 10 August 2026 comparison, 91mobiles reports four Android-version upgrades and six years of security patches for POCO, compared with three Android-version updates and four years of security updates for realme. On those reported commitments, POCO has the advantage for buyers who plan to keep a phone longer. Update terms can vary by region or model, so check the policy that applies to the exact handset you intend to buy.
Build, protection and handling
The 91mobiles comparison reports IP66/IP68/IP69 protection ratings for realme and IP65 for POCO. It also reports realme at 215–219g and 9.1mm thick, versus POCO at 225g and about 8.4mm. These reported figures suggest the realme is lighter but thicker, while the POCO is heavier but thinner. Confirm the ratings and dimensions for the local SKU; water- and dust-resistance claims do not make a phone immune to damage.
