Those benchmark results come from tested phones, not a guarantee for every device using either chip. If you are choosing a phone, compare the specific models’ cooling, sustained performance, price, display, cameras, battery and software support—not just the processor name.

The CPU, memory, storage, GPU and peak network figures come from Qualcomm and MediaTek product materials and 91mobiles’ comparison. The two chips share a headline 4 nm process description, but that does not establish identical manufacturing implementation or power use. Memory and storage support describe what a chipset can support; the specifications in a particular phone depend on its manufacturer.

CPU and memory: where the Dimensity’s paper advantage lies
MediaTek’s listed Cortex-A715 peak clocks reach 3.35 GHz, with three additional A715 cores up to 3.2 GHz. Qualcomm specifies one prime core up to 2.63 GHz and three performance cores up to 2.4 GHz. The Dimensity’s listed peak frequencies are higher, but clock speed alone cannot predict how long a phone sustains a workload or how quickly it completes one.
MediaTek also lists LPDDR5X memory up to 8533 Mbps and UFS 4.0 storage with MCQ, compared with Qualcomm’s LP-DDR5 up to 3200 MHz and UFS 3.1. These figures use different units and describe different memory standards, so they should not be treated as a direct like-for-like speed measurement. For an actual purchase, check the phone’s installed RAM and storage configuration as well as the supported standards.

Benchmark comparison: what the reported scores show
In its exact-variant comparison, 91mobiles reports AnTuTu scores of 1,440,382 for the Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition and 1,077,869 for the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Its Geekbench results are 1,478 versus 1,172 in single-core testing and 4,759 versus 3,235 in multi-core testing, respectively. In those reported results, the Dimensity sample scores higher.
These are device-test results, not fixed scores guaranteed by the chip. 91mobiles says its chipset-page benchmark figures come from real-world testing of devices and describes the Dimensity AnTuTu result as its highest recorded on any device using that chipset. Its published testing methodology describes controlled brightness, audio and temperature, along with cooldown and retest practices. That context does not prove the score difference came from the SoC alone or that every comparison used identical phone configurations.
Do not mix those figures with NanoReview’s comparison of the standard Dimensity 8350. That is a different variant and a separate set of tests, including AnTuTu 11 and Geekbench 6; it is not a benchmark test of the Extreme Edition. Results can vary with chip variant, handset and test sample. Qualcomm and MediaTek do not provide an official head-to-head benchmark isolating these two chips under matched conditions in the cited materials.
Graphics, cameras, AI and connectivity
Gaming and graphics
Qualcomm identifies an Adreno GPU and lists selected Snapdragon Elite Gaming features. MediaTek specifies a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU and describes HyperEngine adaptive gaming features. Neither feature list establishes which retail phone will deliver higher frame rates or better sustained gaming. For that, compare the exact phones under the same games and conditions, paying attention to heat, frame-rate stability and power use.

Camera and video
Qualcomm lists a Spectra triple ISP, photo capture up to 200 MP and 4K HDR video options. MediaTek lists the Imagiq 980 ISP, a 14-bit HDR ISP and 4K60 HDR capabilities. These are platform capabilities, not promises that every phone enables every mode. Camera sensors, image processing software and manufacturer choices shape the photos and video a phone actually produces.
AI processing
Qualcomm lists Hexagon NPU components and AI features; MediaTek lists its multi-core NPU 780 and generative AI capabilities. The cited vendor materials do not provide a matched cross-platform test that establishes an overall AI-performance winner.
Connectivity and display support
Both platforms list Wi-Fi 6E. Their manufacturer-stated peak 5G downlink figures are 5 Gbps for Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and 5.17 Gbps for Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition; these are peak specifications, not expected everyday speeds. Coverage, supported bands, carrier aggregation, modem configuration and the phone’s regional variant affect real-world connectivity.
Display support also differs on paper. Qualcomm lists on-device support up to WQHD+ at 120 Hz, WFHD+ at 168 Hz and 4K at 60 Hz. MediaTek lists FHD+ up to 180 Hz and WQHD+ up to 120 Hz. The panel and the phone maker’s configuration determine the screen you get.
How to choose between phones using these chips
The cited comparison identifies the Motorola Edge 60 Pro as a Dimensity 8350 Extreme Edition phone and lists phones using Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. It does not establish a same-condition retail-phone matchup, so the chipset scores alone cannot support a universal phone recommendation. Compare the models actually available to you on these points:
Quick Recap
- Price and local availability: Compare current prices and configurations in your country rather than assuming a chipset determines value.
- Sustained performance: Look for tests of the same demanding games or workloads on the specific phones, including heat and frame-rate stability over time.
- Cooling and memory: Check the phone’s cooling design and installed RAM and storage, not only the chipset’s maximum supported standards.
- Everyday hardware: Weigh the display, camera system, battery and charging alongside performance.
- Long-term ownership: Check the manufacturer’s software-update policy, regional connectivity bands and service support for the exact model.
