The best iPhone 13 model depends mainly on the size you want and whether you value the Pro display and camera features. Choose the iPhone 13 mini for the smallest screen, the iPhone 13 for a standard 6.1-inch phone, the iPhone 13 Pro for Pro features in that same size, or the iPhone 13 Pro Max for the largest screen with Pro features.

Apple lists all four models with the A15 Bionic chip. In Apple’s comparison, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max have a five-core GPU, while the iPhone 13 and 13 mini have a four-core GPU. All four use a Lightning connector. Apple’s iPhone comparison provides the manufacturer’s model specifications.
Which iPhone 13 model should you choose?
Choose iPhone 13 mini for the smallest size
Its 5.4-inch display makes the mini the compact choice among these four models. Pick it when minimizing screen and device size is more important to you than having a larger viewing area.
Choose iPhone 13 for a standard 6.1-inch phone
The iPhone 13 gives you the family’s standard 6.1-inch display without the Pro camera package or ProMotion. It is the straightforward fit if you want that size and do not prioritize those Pro features.

Choose iPhone 13 Pro for Pro features without the Max size
The 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro adds ProMotion and a triple-camera system. It suits someone who wants those features but prefers the same screen size as the standard iPhone 13.
Choose iPhone 13 Pro Max for the largest screen
The Pro Max combines a 6.7-inch display with Pro camera features. Choose it if the larger viewing area is your priority and you are comfortable with a larger phone.

Software support and iOS 27 compatibility
Apple’s current compatibility guide lists all four iPhone 13 models as compatible with iOS 27: iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
