How is it different from the original Dragon’s Dogma 2?
The original Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the base game released in 2024. The 2026 Dark Arisen package bundles that game with the expansion and the listed edition content. In other words, “Dark Arisen” here names a later bundle, not a replacement sequel or a new standalone base game.

Official package descriptions establish what is bundled; they do not provide a complete feature-by-feature account of the expansion’s gameplay, performance, or value.
Is Dark Arisen a DLC or a full game?
The Dark Arisen Expansion is an expansion that is available as a separate store item on Steam. The Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen package, by contrast, includes both that expansion and the base game. If you already own the base game, compare the separate expansion listing with the package before buying, so you do not pay for the base game again unintentionally.

Platforms, release date, and where to check
Capcom announced the package for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a scheduled release date of October 9, 2026. The official Xbox and PlayStation listings show the bundle; Steam lists the base game and expansion as separate items. Availability and purchase options should be checked on the store for the platform you use.
For Xbox, the listing gives October 8 at 5:00 p.m. PDT / October 9 at 1:00 a.m. BST as the unlock time for the expansion and Norgan content. These are regional times for the listed content, not a universal storefront date. Local store calendars and entitlement timing may vary.
