Find the Ward W Master Key on a table in lower-floor Ward W Room 04 (W04). Use it to unlock W13, climb the ladder to upper Room 12, and collect Lesley Greer’s Blood Bag for the D.P. door. The key also opens optional Ward W rooms, including W06, where you can find Strange Postcard #8.
Where to find the Ward W Master Key
- Go to the lower floor’s Ward W area.
- Enter Room 04 (W04) and take the key from the table. Guides describe the surface variously as a table, desk, or workbench; the room and table location are consistent across accounts. See Nerd’s Chalk’s key-location guide and the SNBK Games walkthrough.
One walkthrough warns that a monster patrols Ward W and recommends using central structures and pillars for cover while reaching W04. This is guide advice rather than independently verified threat behavior.

How to use the key to reach Lesley Greer’s Blood Bag
- Use the key on the locked door to Ward W Room 13 (W13).
- Climb the ladder inside W13 to reach upper Room 12.
- Take Lesley Greer’s Blood Bag from Room 12.
- Return to the central route and use the bag at the D.P. door. The route is also described in the Blood Bags and Ordell Puzzle Solution guide, which says it was cross-checked September 25, 2026.
Optional Ward W rooms and the W06 collectible
The Master Key also opens other locked rooms in Ward W. If you want the collectible detour, visit W06 for Strange Postcard #8, listed at that location in the Strange Postcards locations guide. The postcard is optional; W13 is the key’s progression-critical stop for the Blood Bag route.
Keep the room labels straight
Use the ward and floor as well as the number when following this route: the key is in lower-floor Ward W Room 04, while the destination is upper Room 12, reached through W13. Room numbers alone can be confusing because they recur across wards or floors.
