What the Quntis ScreenLinear Basic is designed to do
A monitor light bar sits above a display and directs light downward onto the work surface. That can free up desk space compared with a separate lamp, although it is not a substitute for room lighting or a guarantee of improved eye comfort.
Quntis says the ScreenLinear Basic/Pro uses an asymmetric 45-degree optical design to illuminate the desk and keyboard while limiting reflected glare on the screen. Will it fit your monitor?
Quntis gives a fit range of 15–22-inch monitors with thickness from 0.3 to 1.4 inches for its Basic/Pro description, and explicitly says the described product is not suitable for laptops or curved monitors. Because the product page presents multiple ScreenLinear styles, treat those dimensions as a starting point and verify them against the exact listing and your screen before buying. The official support result for the 15.7-inch IM manual refers to specifications and compatibility information, but does not provide detailed mounting instructions in the available material. Controls and what comes in the box
The product page lists brightness adjustment and three color-temperature choices: 3000K, 4000K and 6500K. It also describes auto-dimming and says that feature is available only through quntis.com. Since the page covers multiple styles, confirm whether auto-dimming and the listed controls apply to the exact variant and sales channel you are considering.

Quntis lists these included items: one lamp bar, a screen clip, two adjustment covers, a 6.5-foot Type-C cable and a user guide. A wall power adapter is not identified in that package list, so check the retailer’s listing if you need one.
Who should consider it—and who should skip it
It may suit you if
- Your monitor is a compatible flat display, and you want task lighting without placing a lamp base on your desk.
- You value brightness adjustment and want to choose among warm, neutral and cooler listed color temperatures.
- You are comfortable relying on Quntis’s description of the beam rather than expecting independent test results for glare or desk coverage.
Look elsewhere if
- You use a laptop or a curved monitor; the described Basic/Pro fit excludes both.
- You require independently verified measurements of illuminance, color rendering or eye-comfort effects for this exact model. The available material does not establish those results.
- You need a specific feature such as a remote, backlighting or smart-home integration. The Basic product description does not establish those features, and a user’s report of connecting a different ScreenLinear Pro to a smart plug is not evidence of native HomeKit or Matter support. How to decide whether the price is right
The product result showed a $42.99 price for a 15.7-inch Basic listing when it was crawled, but that figure is not a current quote. Check the live price, selected size and included features on the Quntis product page before purchasing. A lower price is less useful if the chosen variant does not fit your display or lacks a control you expect.

When comparing monitor light bars, focus on fit and shape first, then compare lighting controls, beam coverage, any remote or backlight requirements, and price. Quntis itself advises matching a bar to monitor size and shape; independent buying coverage also treats fit and feature set as relevant comparison points.
