These specifications are from OPPO’s Find X8 global announcement and Find X9 global announcement. Weight and thickness can vary by market or finish. Matching screen size and refresh rate do not establish that the panels have identical characteristics.
What changes between the two phones?
Newer chipset, but no performance verdict from specifications alone
The Find X9 uses the Dimensity 9500 rather than the Find X8’s Dimensity 9400. That makes the X9 the newer generation, but the chip names alone do not show how much faster either phone is in everyday use or sustained workloads. Independent testing would be needed for a measured performance comparison.
Larger stated battery, not a guaranteed runtime
OPPO lists a 7,025mAh battery for the X9 and 5,630mAh for the X8, a capacity difference of 1,395mAh. Capacity is not a battery-life test: actual endurance depends on usage and test conditions, so these figures do not establish how many more hours the X9 will last.

Similar camera count, with a distinction to keep clear
OPPO describes three 50MP rear cameras on both base models. The X8’s listed trio comprises a main camera, ultrawide, and 3x periscope telephoto; OPPO’s X9 announcement also mentions a True Color Camera. For a photo or video decision, compare focal-length coverage, sensor details, video modes, and independent samples rather than relying on megapixel counts alone. The Find X9 Pro’s 200MP telephoto is not a base Find X9 specification.
Charging rates stay the same on paper
Both global releases specify 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Check what charger, if any, is included with the phone in your market before buying.

The newer model is slightly larger in the cited figures
OPPO’s global release figures list the X8 at 193g and 7.85mm thick, and the X9 at 203g and 7.99mm. The X8 is therefore lighter and slightly thinner on those figures; handling may differ for particular regional finishes or variants.

Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the Find X9 if you want the newer chipset generation and its larger stated battery, and the current local price fits your budget. Look for independent sustained-performance and battery tests if those are decisive.
- Consider the Find X8 if its current price is lower and you prefer the lighter, slightly thinner dimensions in OPPO’s global figures. Compare the actual local deal and warranty, not just launch prices.
- For camera use, compare real photo and video samples and check which focal lengths and modes matter to you. A shared 50MP label does not prove that the cameras produce identical results.
For either model, compare the same storage tier, confirm local software-support terms and warranty, and verify charger-in-box details. OPPO’s cited X9 launch page does not establish a precise global update-support duration.
