No—not as an internal graphics card. The MS-01’s expansion slot is half-height and single-slot, while NVIDIA’s RTX 3090 Founders Edition is a 313 mm-long, three-slot card. Power is another mismatch: the MS-01 listing specifies a 19 V adapter, whereas NVIDIA recommends a 750 W system power supply for the Founders Edition. An external setup may be worth investigating, but the official specifications do not confirm a working MS-01 and RTX 3090 riser or enclosure combination.
Why the RTX 3090 does not fit inside the MS-01
MINISFORUM lists the MS-01 with a PCIe 4.0 x16 physical slot that is half-height and single-slot. NVIDIA lists its RTX 3090 Founders Edition as a 313 mm-long, 138 mm-wide, three-slot card. Those dimensions rule out installing that Founders Edition directly in the MS-01’s internal expansion slot.
The physical x16 slot size also does not mean the connection runs at x16 bandwidth: MINISFORUM specifies operation at up to PCIe 4.0 x8. NVIDIA lists PCI Express Gen 4 support for the RTX 3090, so the generations align, but that does not change the card’s physical fit or power requirements.
Power requirements are a separate obstacle
The MS-01 product listing specifies DC 19 V and an included power adapter; it does not specify a desktop GPU power supply or an RTX 3090 power arrangement. NVIDIA’s RTX 3090 Founders Edition specifications list 350 W graphics card power, two PCIe 8-pin auxiliary connectors, and a recommended 750 W system power supply.

NVIDIA says its 750 W recommendation is based on a system configured with an Intel Core i9-10900K. It is a system recommendation, not evidence that the MS-01’s supplied adapter can power the card. NVIDIA also cautions that add-in-card manufacturers’ specifications may vary, so check the documentation for the exact RTX 3090 model rather than assuming every partner card matches the Founders Edition.
What MINISFORUM lists as compatible
MINISFORUM names compatibility up to the RTX A2000 Mobile in the MS-01 listing. That is the manufacturer’s stated option; it is not proof that a desktop RTX card will fit or work. The RTX 3090 Founders Edition’s height and three-slot thickness alone are incompatible with the listed half-height, single-slot expansion arrangement.

Could an external RTX 3090 work?
An external arrangement is a possibility to investigate, not a verified configuration. A PCIe riser could position a graphics card outside the chassis, but the cited official specifications do not establish that a particular riser, enclosure or open-frame mount, separate power supply, and RTX 3090 will work with the MS-01.

- How the proposed external connection attaches to the MS-01 and whether it is supported by the system’s firmware and operating system.
- Whether the card can be mounted with enough clearance and cooling in the enclosure or open-frame arrangement.
- That the separate power supply and its connectors meet the exact card maker’s requirements.
- Whether the riser and the chosen connection method are suitable for the intended PCIe link.

The RTX 3090 Founders Edition cannot be installed directly inside the Minisforum MS-01, and the MS-01’s listed 19 V adapter is not the desktop GPU power supply described in NVIDIA’s RTX 3090 guidance. Consider the pairing only as a separately powered external project after confirming the exact hardware and support details; no tested or manufacturer-verified MS-01 and RTX 3090 external configuration is established here.
