Check the source-to-target upgrade path
IBM’s supported-path table varies by the installed release. Some paths require one or more intermediate releases, and specified upgrades to FOS 9.2.x have TruFOS certificate prerequisites. Information to collect for troubleshooting
Keep the failure evidence intact before choosing a recovery step. IBM documents CLI management over Ethernet or serial, and says POST errors are recorded in RASlog. The SAN64B-6 guide describes FOS diagnostics for hardware and firmware investigation, including checks of internal connections, fixed media, transceivers, and cables.
