The company advertises a zero-logs policy and a broad set of protocols, while published reviews flag limited policy detail, no independent audit, and inconsistent streaming access. The right choice depends on which of those trade-offs matters most to you.
TorGuard VPN plans and prices
TorGuard’s purchase page currently lists two Anonymous VPN plans. Prices, included features, and guarantees can change, so confirm the terms on the official purchase page before subscribing.

These server and feature counts are TorGuard’s own figures, not an independent assessment of network size or performance. The purchase-page details do not specify a money-back guarantee for Pro, so check the current terms for that plan before paying.
Is TorGuard safe, and does it keep logs?
TorGuard says it does not log VPN or proxy activity. Its policy, as quoted by Security.org, states: “TorGuard does not collect or log any data from its Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Proxy services.” Read this as the company’s assertion, not as independent confirmation. Security.org’s TorGuard review reproduces the policy language.

Independent verification is the main privacy caveat. Tom’s Guide and Top10VPN both report that TorGuard has not undergone an independent audit of its logging policy; Tom’s Guide also criticizes the policy for limited detail. Top10VPN discusses a court case as evidence offered in support of the claim, but a court-related report is not the same thing as an independent technical audit. Tom’s Guide’s review gave TorGuard 61/100 in its 2025 review; that is the publication’s score, not a universal rating. Top10VPN’s review covers its audit assessment.
What security features does TorGuard advertise?
TorGuard lists AES-256 encryption, leak protections, a kill switch, and OpenVPN, WireGuard, and IKEv2. It also advertises internal encrypted DNS, port forwarding, dedicated IPs, and a zero-logs policy. These are vendor-reported features; the available published findings do not establish that every feature works identically in every app or operating system. Review TorGuard’s Anonymous VPN feature page and check the documentation for the device and app you plan to use.

Is TorGuard good for torrenting?
TorGuard is notably oriented toward P2P users: the company lists port forwarding, and Top10VPN describes SOCKS5 and port forwarding as subscription features. Port forwarding can let compatible peers initiate connections to a client, which may improve reachability in some torrent setups. It does not guarantee faster downloads or make activity anonymous by itself; results depend on the client, network, server, and configuration.
Use P2P only in accordance with copyright law and the terms of the services and networks involved. A VPN connection does not make unlawful sharing lawful.

Does TorGuard work with Netflix and other streaming services?
Streaming access is variable, not a dependable reason on its own to buy TorGuard. TorGuard includes one streaming IP with Pro, but that inclusion is not a guarantee that a particular platform will work. In its 2026 review, Top10VPN reported that its base-plan tests failed to access most of the streaming services it listed; access can vary by endpoint and change as services update their blocks. Its review also reported a 10% average download-speed loss across the locations it tested. That is Top10VPN’s result under its test methodology, not a prediction for an individual connection.
If streaming is central to your decision, check recent reports for your country, the specific service, and the plan or IP option you would use. No review result can ensure future access because platforms may change detection and blocking behavior.

Apps, devices, and router support
TorGuard supports VPN apps and also says it supports router configurations including DD-WRT, Tomato, and pfSense firewalls. Router use is optional; it can route multiple connected devices through a VPN, but setup and compatibility depend on the exact hardware and firmware. Check TorGuard’s instructions and your router’s support before choosing that route.
App capabilities differ by platform. Tom’s Guide reported split tunneling only on Android and no support for smart TVs or game consoles in its review. Those are the reviewer’s findings at the time of publication, and app support can change with software updates. If you need a specific feature or device, verify its availability in the current app or setup guide rather than assuming every platform has the same controls.

Who should consider TorGuard?
TorGuard is a better fit if you
- Need port forwarding or SOCKS5 support for a compatible P2P setup.
- Want protocol choices such as OpenVPN, WireGuard, and IKEv2, or plan to configure a supported router.
- Value the listed simultaneous-device allowance and are comfortable evaluating a provider’s privacy claims without an independent audit.
Look elsewhere if you
- Require independently audited confirmation of a no-logs policy.
- Want a straightforward app experience with consistent features across devices.
- Need reliable access to particular streaming platforms as a core requirement.
