Independent real-world testing of the Ultra’s runtime and cleaning performance is not established, so whether it suits your pool comes down to its sun exposure, Wi-Fi setup and your expectations for debris collection.
What the Beatbot iSkim Ultra does—and what it doesn’t
Beatbot describes the iSkim Ultra as an autonomous skimmer for above-ground and in-ground pools. It is designed to collect debris floating on the water, rather than scrub or vacuum the pool floor. Beatbot lists concrete, vinyl, fiberglass, ceramic tile and stainless steel as suitable surfaces, and says the device can be used in saltwater pools. If you want one robot to clean both the surface and the bottom, the Ultra does not meet that requirement by itself. It may instead complement a separate floor-cleaning routine or robot.
How its solar-assisted power system works
Beatbot lists a 24 W solar panel and a 10,000 mAh battery. The company presents solar charging as the basis for extended autonomous operation and also describes magnetic wireless charging as another way to charge the skimmer. The listed specifications do not establish how long the Ultra will run in a particular pool: sunlight, shade, operating conditions and charging behavior matter, and independent Ultra runtime results are not established.

Beatbot’s “24/7” cleaning language is conditional. The company says continuous autonomy requires optimal daytime sunlight and warns that performance may decline during prolonged periods with little sun. A pool shaded for much of the day is therefore a less certain fit than one with strong, consistent exposure. The iSkim Ultra feature page describes the company’s claims and qualifications.
A third-party-hosted copy of the manual reports a magnetic charging time of at least five hours. Because that copy is not an official Beatbot manual source, confirm charging instructions with Beatbot’s current documentation before relying on that figure: third-party-hosted manual copy.

Debris capacity: a 9 L basket, with a qualified leaf claim
Beatbot lists a 9 L debris basket. On its feature page, the company says its internal tests fit 400–800 medium-sized leaves measuring 6–10 cm. Beatbot notes that results vary with whether leaves are wet or dry and with experimental conditions. That laboratory figure should not be read as a guaranteed count for a household pool: debris size, mix and conditions differ, and independent Ultra collection results are not established.
In practical terms, the basket’s volume is a useful specification, but how often you will need to empty it depends on what lands in your pool and how quickly. Beatbot’s cited leaf range is an internal test claim, not a promise of a particular interval between emptying.

Beatbot lists seven motors, 20 sensors, dual-side brushes and an app-guided planned S-path. The company also describes app features for remote control, scheduling, status and cleaning records, plus poolside parking. These specifications and functions indicate the intended feature set; they do not independently demonstrate how reliably the Ultra navigates a particular pool shape, handles obstacles or captures debris under different conditions.

Check Wi-Fi before buying
Beatbot’s FAQ says the connected Wi-Fi supports 2.4 GHz. Dual-band routers are compatible, but a network set to 5 GHz only may need to be adjusted for connection. Check that a usable 2.4 GHz network reaches the area where you will set up the skimmer if app control matters to you. Beatbot describes the app as providing remote controls and scheduling, as well as status and records.
