The “world’s smallest” and “first” wording in the original 2019 title reflects a historical manufacturer claim, not an independently verified comparison. New Atlas published its review on July 12, 2019; the specifications and prices below distinguish that period from the manufacturer’s later documentation and US store listing accessed October 5, 2026.
What the LaserCube does—and what the 2019 review covered
LaserCube projects software-driven, animated laser patterns and effects onto surfaces. New Atlas’s 2019 review described a portable, battery-powered unit, music-reactive animations, and the appeal of projecting effects rather than conventional video images. The manufacturer’s history page dates the product launch to May 29, 2019, and claimed: “Not only is the LaserCube (€499) the world’s smallest RGB laser show projector, its also the first to have a built-in battery.” That is a vendor statement about the launch-era product; it does not establish either superlative independently or describe a current price. Original WiFi models: published specifications
The August 1, 2024 LaserOS manual specifies the WiFi 1.2W and 2.5W models as Class 4. The figures below are manufacturer specifications, not comparative test results. Consult the official LaserOS manual.

The manufacturer’s US store listing, accessed October 5, 2026, showed four options. Prices are listed starting prices and may change; check the store for live pricing, availability, shipping, and bundle details. These figures describe the current listing, not the 2019 review unit. The store lists approximately four hours to charge both the WiFi and Ultra batteries. It distinguishes the Ultra series by its larger 92Wh battery and newer control features; consult the live product listing for the exact features and bundle attached to a specific model. The manual’s detailed dimensions, weight, scanner performance, and hardware details cited above apply to the WiFi models and should not be assumed for the Ultra versions.

How to choose a model
Match the projector to the show, control setup, and safety plan—not just the headline wattage. Before buying, compare:
- Output and use: The listed 1.2W, 2.5W, 6W, and 10W options differ in stated output. More output does not automatically make a model safer or more suitable.
- Battery needs: The store lists 46Wh and 2–3 hours for WiFi models, versus 92Wh and 3–4 hours for Ultra models. Treat runtime as the manufacturer’s stated figure, not a guarantee for every operating condition.
- Control and connections: The WiFi manual specifies WiFi and 100Mbps Ethernet. Check the current Ultra listing and documentation for the control features you need.
- Portability and performance: The WiFi manual lists 10 × 10 × 12cm, 1.7kg, and scanning above 25,000 points per second at 6 degrees. Do not transfer these specifications to Ultra models without documentation.
- Included hardware and warranty: The WiFi manual lists a one-year warranty and key, interlock, beam block, and indicator LED. Verify the applicable warranty and included safety equipment for the exact current model and bundle.
- Total cost: Starting prices vary by model; confirm what is included, along with shipping and availability, on the live US store page.
Class 4 safety is essential
The WiFi 1.2W and 2.5W models are identified as Class 4 in the 2024 manual. Class 4 lasers can cause serious eye and skin injuries. The presence of a key, interlock, beam block, or indicator LED does not make careless use safe.

The manufacturer’s store lists a mini tripod with ball head, projection expander, hologram net, optics kit, rain cover, diffract lens, nano fogger, and E-stop kit. Bundle contents vary, and the store says nano fogger liquid is not included.
