The device featured in the March 2, 2026 deal is a refurbished Microsoft Surface Pro 6 with an Intel Core i5-8250U, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. BleepingComputer Deals advertised it for $229.99, compared with an $849.99 MSRP, and described that as 72% off. That was a dated offer, not a confirmed current price or indication that stock remains available.
What makes the Surface Pro 6 both a tablet and a laptop?
The listed Surface Pro 6 has a 12.3-inch PixelSense touchscreen, touch and pen input, and a built-in kickstand. Those features let it stand on a desk in tablet form. For the laptop-style setup, however, you need a keyboard: the deal article says the Type Cover is not included and is sold separately.
The listing mentions pen input but does not identify a particular pen model. Check compatibility before buying an accessory.
What configuration did the deal include?
| Item | Deal listing detail |
|---|---|
| Processor | 8th-generation Intel Core i5-8250U, quad-core |

| Storage | 256GB SSD |
| Display | 12.3-inch PixelSense touchscreen |

The deal page also claimed up to 13.5 hours of typical-use battery life. That is the listing’s claim, not an independently measured result. The reviewed material provides no hands-on testing or comparative benchmark evidence, so it does not establish how the device performs in real-world use or against newer Surface models.

What should you check before buying a refurbished unit?
The deal page described its unit as like-new, professionally inspected, and expected to arrive with minimal cosmetic wear. Those are seller or deal-page descriptions, not independent inspection findings. Refurbished products can differ by seller and listing, so confirm the specific unit’s terms at checkout.
- Condition: Check the condition grade and how the seller defines it.
- Included accessories: Confirm whether a Type Cover, charger, or other accessories are included; do not assume they are part of the offer.
- Returns and warranty: Read the current listing’s applicable return window and warranty terms.
- Price and availability: Verify the live price, stock, taxes, and shipping at checkout rather than relying on the historical promotion.
- Configuration: Confirm the processor, memory, storage, and operating system on the exact listing you are considering.
The deal article is a dated promotion, not Microsoft product documentation or an independent review. It does not establish current support or security lifecycle details, warranty coverage, return terms, or comparative performance.
