The announcement sets out intended benefits—simpler operations, faster service and lower costs—but provides no measured results to show those benefits have been achieved.
What the Mobile Cloud Alliance Program is
Highway 9 described the Mobile Cloud Alliance Program as a way to coordinate the components and provider relationships involved in enterprise mobile connectivity. It is an ecosystem and integration-program launch, not a private-5G product benchmark or a quantified deployment report.
The stated goal is to make it easier for enterprises to connect equipment and services from multiple vendors and manage them through a unified view. Highway 9 founder and CEO Allwyn Sequeira said: “Providing ubiquitous, secure, and high-performance mobile connectivity requires seamless integration and interoperability within enterprise networks.” That is the company’s rationale for the program, not an independently verified finding.
What the program is intended to connect
The announcement describes four areas of coordination:

- Mobile-network equipment: end-user devices, gateways, access points and routers.
- Enterprise IT and security: the existing infrastructure and security controls into which mobile connectivity must fit.
- Cellular providers: the carrier relationships involved in providing connectivity.
- Cloud providers: the cloud services that enterprises may need to connect with their mobile networks.
That scope suggests the program is aimed at integration across an enterprise environment rather than at one standalone device. Routers are included as a category, but the announcement does not identify a router model or establish compatibility with any particular equipment.
Who was named as a launch partner
Highway 9’s August 21, 2024 announcement named Arista, AWS, Fortinet, Digi, Intel, Google, BEC by Billion, Zebra Technologies, MultiTech, Versa Networks and Semtech/Sierra Wireless among the launch partners. The company also indicated there were others, so this list should not be treated as a complete roster or as confirmation of current membership. The partners span networking, devices, industrial connectivity, security and cloud categories. Arista vice president and general manager of Zero Trust Campus Networking Kumar Srikantan said: “We know that a truly unified wireless experience, comprised of Wi-Fi and private 5G, delivers a seamless user experience across the entire enterprise campus.” This is his view of the potential relationship between Wi-Fi and private 5G, not evidence that the program has delivered that experience.
What the launch does—and does not—establish
The announcement presents simpler integration, easier operations, faster service and reduced costs as aims. Neither it nor Network World’s launch coverage supplies measured figures or independently validated customer outcomes for savings, deployment time, coverage, latency or reliability.

For an enterprise evaluating the offer, that distinction matters: a partner ecosystem may help address integration challenges, but a launch announcement alone does not establish how much work or expense it removes in a real deployment. The sources also do not provide comparative test data against other private-5G or mobile-cloud offerings.

Use the program’s stated integration areas as a checklist when assessing any similar offering. Ask vendors to support answers with deployment-specific evidence rather than relying on broad claims about simplicity or performance.
