The available official sources don’t confirm a current $100 ROG Xbox Ally discount in Canada. Xbox advertised savings of up to $100 in a promotion with a December 20, 2025 deadline, but its terms do not establish Canadian eligibility or identify ASUS as the offeror.
What the official $100 promotion actually said
Xbox’s verified YouTube channel published a promotion titled “Up to $100 Off ROG Xbox Ally” on December 10, 2025. Its promotional copy said, “For a limited time, save up to $100 on the ROG Xbox Ally and experience seamless PC gaming on the go.” The accompanying terms said the offer ran until December 20, 2025, or while supplies lasted, at participating retailers. They also warned that products might not be available in all markets. The available information does not confirm that Canadian customers could use the offer, so it should not be treated as a Canada-wide or ASUS-specific discount. Xbox’s promotion
ASUS Canada’s listed sale is for a case, not the handheld
ASUS Canada’s deals page lists the ROG Xbox Ally (2-in-1) Premium Case under Gaming Handhelds. The case page describes a hard shell with a water-repellent exterior, fleece lining and a detachable pouch for the 65W charging adapter. When accessed the week of October 4, 2026, the product page displayed the case at $49.99, reduced from $99.99. That is an accessory offer and does not show a $100 reduction on the handheld. Check the ASUS Canada deals page and ROG Xbox Ally Premium Case page for current availability and pricing.
Canada’s ROG Xbox Ally X20 launch pricing is not a discount
ASUS announced Canadian preorders for the ROG XBOX Ally X20 on August 25, 2026, naming Best Buy as the initial preorder retailer. The announcement stated a C$1,899 standalone price and a C$3,499 bundle price, with shelf availability planned to begin October 15, 2026. Those are announced launch prices and timing for the X20, not confirmation of a $100 promotion. ASUS’s Canadian handheld catalog identifies the ROG XBOX Ally X20 (2026) RC74XA and lists Windows 11 Home, an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor and a 7.4-inch OLED FHD 120Hz display; check the live listing for current specifications and stock. How to verify a Canadian handheld deal
Before treating a listing as a $100-off offer, check the details on the retailer’s Canadian product page:
- Exact model: Confirm which ROG Xbox Ally model and configuration are included; do not assume an X20 launch price applies to another version.
- Price and discount: Compare the listed sale price with the regular price for that same handheld, not the Premium Case.
- Retailer, dates and stock: Confirm the retailer participates, the offer is valid in Canada, and the model is available during the stated dates.
- Bundle terms: Check whether a quoted price includes a subscription or other bundle item. The older Xbox promotion mentioned a three-month Game Pass Premium benefit, but the available information does not establish Canadian eligibility.
A verified Canadian offer should identify the eligible handheld, the final price, the promotion dates, the participating retailer and any bundle conditions. Without those details, the $100 claim remains unconfirmed.
