To farm Beast Cores in Project Slayers 2, hunt Beast Born Demons after dark. Start at Mistfall Harbor: community location guides point to the village gate and nearby open roads as the best-supported route. One guide reports a 50% chance of one core per kill, but that is not a guaranteed drop or a developer-published rate. Beast Cores are listed as requirements for Serpent, Insect, and Stone Breathing.
How to get Beast Cores
Look for horned NPCs labelled Beast Born Demon and defeat them at night. The dedicated Beast Core guide states, “Kill a Beast Born Demon at night.” Its page, accessed October 4, 2026, reports a 50% chance of one core per kill and says the in-game Archives shows “50% (Beast Born Demon).” A separate materials guide also gives an approximate 50% rate, attributing it to creator walkthroughs from launch week in September 2026. These are community-reported figures, not a published developer drop table; treat two kills per core as a rough average, not a promise. Read the dedicated Beast Core guide and materials guide.
Where to farm Beast Cores
Mistfall Harbor: the best-supported route
Go to Mistfall Harbor after dark and search around the village gate and open ground along the nearby road. The dedicated Beast Core guide describes an open area past the torii where Giyen spawns, heading toward Mistfall Harbor, and also recommends farming around the end of the shipment quest to Ora. A separate community map guide independently places Beast Demons at the village gate at night, making Mistfall Harbor the most consistently supported named location. The Beast Core guide and the community map both identify this area.
Snow region: another reported option
A separate materials guide reports beast-type demons in the snow region and says they can be harder to kill. It also warns that the biome causes continuous cold damage, so bring healing if you try this route. Location reports do not fully agree, and the snow-region account is not corroborated by the two Mistfall Harbor sources; verify that the relevant enemies are present in your live game before committing to the trip. The materials guide describes this route.

How many Beast Cores do breathing styles require?
The dedicated trainer guide lists Beast Core requirements for three breathing styles. The counts below are reported by that community guide and may change with game updates; check the trainer prompt before farming. See the breathing-style guide.
| Breathing style | Trainer | Beast Cores listed | Other stated requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Serpent | Obari | 5 | Not stated in the guide’s Beast Core list |
| Insect | Shinora | 3 | Not stated in the guide’s Beast Core list |
| Stone | Gyorei | 4 | Axe and Mace weapon, Wen, and a Stone Trainee drop |
Those three listed styles add up to 12 Beast Cores. Stone’s core count is only one part of its requirements, so collecting four cores by itself does not complete its training quest.

Do other breathing styles use Beast Cores?
The dedicated trainer guide says other styles generally require Demon Horns rather than Beast Cores, but it also reports at least five cores for Tai Chi and notes uncertainty around that requirement. The broader materials guide says Sound Breathing uses Beast Cores instead of Demon Horns, which conflicts with the other guide’s trainer list. Because the community sources disagree, do not assume the listed costs are exhaustive or that any one guide reflects the current prompt: check the live trainer before choosing what to farm. The trainer guide and materials guide describe the differing claims.

- Confirm it is night and look for the Beast Born Demon label rather than relying only on an enemy’s appearance.
- Check the item’s Archives entry and your trainer’s current prompt for the rate and core count shown in your game.
- Start at Mistfall Harbor; try the snow-region route only if you confirm the enemies are spawning there, and account for its reported cold damage.
Project Slayers 2 was released on September 18, 2026, according to the unofficial community guide hub. Since community pages may lag behind updates, the game’s current Archives and trainer prompts are the most useful checks for live requirements. Visit the guide hub.
