Apple announced Apple Business on March 24, 2026, as a single service for managing Apple devices and teams, handling business communications, and presenting a business across Apple services. Apple said the core service would become available beginning April 14 in the U.S. and more than 200 countries and regions; some features may be limited to select locations. The announcement describes planned capabilities, not independently verified business-growth results. Apple’s announcement is the source for the product details below.
What Apple Business is designed to do
Apple Business brings together two jobs: administering an organization’s Apple devices and accounts, and managing how customers encounter that organization through Apple services. Apple described the platform as including built-in mobile device management (MDM), team and account tools, business email and calendar features, and customer-facing brand tools. The announcement does not provide independent comparisons with other business platforms or evidence that the tools increase sales.
Manage devices, accounts, and employees
Apple says administrators will have a unified view of an organization’s Apple devices, their settings, and related information. Device blueprints let administrators prepare settings and apps in advance for consistent setup. Apple says zero-touch deployment is available when devices are bought through Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller. Apple’s announcement
Team features include employee groups, custom administrator roles, app distribution, Managed Apple Accounts, and an admin API. Apple says Managed Apple Accounts keep company and employee data cryptographically separate on devices. It also describes automated account creation through identity providers including Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID. These are Apple’s descriptions of the platform; the announcement does not establish how a particular organization’s existing devices or identity setup will behave.

Manage how customers find and contact the business
Apple said brand-management tools previously available through Apple Business Connect would be included in Apple Business. These tools are intended to make a business’s information more useful within Apple’s services: a profile and Maps place card can show details such as photos, hours, and location, while Maps showcases can highlight offers, products, or seasonal items. Businesses can add custom actions such as ordering or reserving, and view location insights including searches, views, and taps on actions. Apple’s announcement
Apple also described branded communications in Mail and iCloud Mail, business branding on tracked orders in Wallet, and a business name and logo on the iPhone Tap to Pay screen. These features can give customers more context or a direct next step in Apple experiences; they do not establish that a business will gain customers or sales.

Maps ads: announced plans, not confirmed current availability
Apple announced that businesses in the U.S. and Canada would be able to create Apple Maps ads beginning in summer 2026. The plan described ads in Maps search results and Suggested Places, with ads labeled. Apple said a business must first claim its Maps location. Apple’s announcement
As of October 4, 2026, the available sources do not confirm whether the ads actually launched, what enrollment requires, or what campaigns cost. Treat the summer timing as Apple’s announced plan, not confirmation that the service is currently available. Apple’s announcement also said location and ad interactions would not be associated with an Apple Account, personal data would remain on the device and not be collected or stored by Apple, and data would not be shared with third parties; those are Apple’s stated privacy terms.

Availability, migration, and transition
Apple said Apple Business would be available beginning April 14, 2026, as a free core service in the U.S. and more than 200 countries and regions, while noting that some features may be available only in select places. Apple also said Apple Business Connect, Apple Business Essentials, and Apple Business Manager would no longer be available once Apple Business launched. Existing Business Connect information—including claimed locations, place cards, photos, organization information, and account details—was to migrate automatically. Apple said Business Essentials customers would stop paying its monthly device-management fee after April 14. Apple’s announcement
Those are Apple’s stated transition terms; they do not confirm the migration status of an individual organization’s account. Businesses should check their own Apple Business account for the status of their information and services.

What the paid U.S. add-ons cost
Apple’s announcement listed these U.S. prices for optional services. They are not universal rates, and the core Apple Business service was described as free. Apple’s announcement
| Optional service | Apple’s announced U.S. price |
|---|---|
| Additional iCloud storage | Starting at $0.99 per user per month, with up to 2 TB per user |
| AppleCare+ for Business | $6.99 per month per device |
| AppleCare+ for Business | $13.99 per month per user for coverage of up to three devices |
At the time of Apple’s March 24 announcement, MobileSyrup reported that Canadian-specific paid-service details were still pending. The available sources do not establish whether Apple has since published current Canadian rates, so the U.S. prices above should not be treated as Canadian pricing. How to judge whether it fits your business
Apple Business is most directly relevant to organizations that already use Apple devices and want device administration alongside customer-facing Apple tools. Before adopting it, consider the following:
- Device fleet: Does your organization need MDM, preconfigured setups, app distribution, or Managed Apple Accounts?
- Communications: Do custom-domain email, shared calendars, delegation, and a company directory fit your needs, and are the features available where you operate?
- Customer discovery: Would maintaining Maps information, offers, and custom actions in Apple services help customers find information or take a next step?
- Deployment channel: If you rely on zero-touch deployment, can devices be purchased through Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller?
- Operating systems: Can employees use iOS 26, iPadOS 26, or macOS 26 for the companion app and communication features?
- Added costs and geography: Does your budget account for optional storage or AppleCare+, and have you confirmed prices and availability for your country?
- Advertising: If Maps ads matter to your plan, confirm current availability and enrollment terms rather than relying on the announced summer 2026 timing.
Apple’s vice president of Enterprise and Education Marketing, Susan Prescott, called the launch “a significant leap forward” in the company’s commitment to businesses. That is Apple’s promotional characterization; it is not an independent assessment of the platform’s effectiveness. Apple’s announcement
