It applies to selected unlocked Galaxy phones bought through Samsung Korea’s specified sales channels, with monthly fees, a return-value guarantee and phone-care benefits.
What Samsung’s Galaxy AI Subscription Club is
Samsung Korea’s New Galaxy AI Subscription Club is an optional plan selected when purchasing an eligible unlocked phone. Subscribers pay a monthly service fee and may receive a stated portion of the model’s launch-time reference price if they return the enrolled phone during the required window and meet the condition and account-removal rules.
Samsung lists eligible purchases through Samsung.com or its family mall. Phones bought through a carrier cannot enroll in this club, although carriers may offer separate programs. Samsung says eligibility and terms may change or end without notice, so confirm the current purchase page before signing up.
Which phones qualify and what the plan costs
The Korean program guide lists the Z Fold8 Series, Z Flip8 and S26 FE. Fees are billed monthly in Korean won to the Samsung personal credit card registered for the club, through operator Mintit.

How the return-value guarantee works
The guarantee is a percentage of the model’s launch-time reference price, not a promise to pay that percentage of whatever you paid. The phone must be returned through a Mintit ATM during the window for the selected term.

Samsung’s guide sets the return windows at months 13–14 for the 12-month plan, months 25–26 for the 24-month plan, and months 37–38 for the 36-month plan. The guide excludes phones with visible physical damage, phones that cannot power on or off, and phones with accounts still attached. You must return the enrolled phone, and Samsung specifies identity and payout-account matching requirements.
What Samsung Care+ covers—and what it does not
Care benefits vary by phone and plan length. Fold and Flip 12- and 24-month plans include damage coverage. S26 FE 12- and 24-month plans include damage-plus coverage; Samsung says battery replacement is included if battery efficiency falls below 80%, with a ₩20,000 copayment. The 36-month plan includes loss-and-damage coverage.

Samsung notes that deductibles for repairs or replacements and some service charges may apply. To receive Care+ benefits, the subscriber must register the phone’s IMEI within 60 days. Consult the plan’s detailed terms for exclusions and claim conditions before relying on coverage.
How the club differs from paying for Galaxy AI
The word “AI” in the club’s name does not mean a paid plan is required for basic Galaxy AI. Samsung Newsroom Australia said there were “currently no plans to charge for Galaxy AI features” in its statement framed around the end of 2025, while noting different terms could apply to third-party AI features. That is a time-bounded Samsung statement, not a permanent guarantee.

Separately, Samsung US support says: “Galaxy AI basic features provided by Samsung are free. Any Samsung enhanced AI features and all third party AI features are subject to different terms and may be subject to fees.” Samsung also says feature availability varies by device model and software version. This US support note describes software pricing, not eligibility for the Korean phone club.

Samsung Korea’s S26 FE promotion lists a silicone magnetic case, magnetic wireless battery pack, 45W PD charger with a USB-C-to-USB-C cable, and three coupons for 30% off cases or accessories. The page gives qualifying purchase dates of September 4–October 31, 2026, and coupon-use dates of September 7–November 30, 2026. Samsung says offers and example products may change.

The same promotion separately advertises a six-month Google AI Pro trial for eligible devices, with activation by August 1, 2027. After the trial, the listed price is ₩29,000 per month unless canceled; a valid payment method is required, and Google’s offer terms apply. This is a third-party promotion, not part of the phone club or a charge for basic Galaxy AI.
What to compare before enrolling
Compare the club with buying outright, a carrier installment, or another upgrade option over the same period. The key differences are not just the monthly fee:
- Total payments over the period you expect to keep the phone.
- The applicable return-value percentage and its launch-time reference price.
- The return window, device-condition requirements, and account-removal rules.
- Care+ coverage, IMEI registration timing, deductibles, and service charges.
- Purchase-channel and payment-card requirements.
- Whether you can keep or sell the phone, or must return it to receive the stated guarantee.
Samsung’s guide establishes the Korean club’s terms; it does not establish the terms of carrier or competitor programs, so compare those offers from their own providers.
