What the ACMER A2 is—and who it fits
The A2 is an add-on infrared laser module, not a standalone engraver. ACMER lists it for the P1 and P2. The manufacturer says owners of other brands must work out mounting and wiring themselves, so the A2 should not be treated as universally compatible. Check the machine’s physical mounting and electrical connections before attempting to install it on a non-ACMER engraver. ACMER’s support center provides installation and support resources.
What materials can the A2 engrave?

Can the A2 engrave wood?
No, according to ACMER’s EU product listing: it says the 1064nm head cannot engrave wood, parchment paper, or MDF. If those are your primary materials, this module is not the right choice based on the manufacturer’s stated limits.
