To set up a post-purchase email in Hostinger Reach, connect a supported online store, open Automations → Ecommerce, choose the purchase follow-up flow, set which products it applies to, customize the email, and activate it. The flow starts after the store confirms a successfully paid order—not when a shopper merely begins checkout. Reach currently supports WooCommerce on WordPress, Hostinger AI Builder ecommerce, and Hostinger eCommerce connected through Integrations.
Before you create the automation
First confirm that your store is one of Reach’s supported ecommerce integrations and that its store feature is active. Then check that your Reach account is on a paid plan: Hostinger’s plan overview says the free plan covers campaigns and contact management but does not include automated workflows. See Hostinger’s ecommerce automation guide and Reach plan overview for current integration and plan details.

Connect the store that you use
| Store type | What to confirm or do |
|---|---|
| WooCommerce on WordPress | Install and enable the WooCommerce plugin on the connected WordPress site, then connect the site through the Reach WordPress integration. |
| Hostinger AI Builder ecommerce | Make sure the store is added and enabled in the AI Builder editor, then select the ecommerce site when connecting it to Reach. |
| Hostinger eCommerce | In Reach, open Integrations, connect Hostinger eCommerce, and select your store. |
Hostinger documents these supported paths in its Reach ecommerce automation guide and store integration guide. Menu names and connection steps can change, so consult those pages if your dashboard differs.
Create and activate the purchase follow-up flow
- Open the automation area: sign in to Hostinger Reach and choose Automations.
- Choose the ecommerce flow: select Ecommerce, then choose the predefined post-purchase flow. The integration guide also calls this a Purchase follow-up.
- Check the trigger: review the preconfigured contact completed a purchase event. It means checkout was completed, payment succeeded, and the store confirmed the order. It is not triggered by an abandoned or merely started checkout.
- Set the product scope: apply the flow to all products or select specific products. For selected products, copy each product’s public page URL from your live store and add it to the trigger. Hostinger’s Help Center says a trigger can target up to 15 products.
- Prepare the email: choose an existing template or create or generate one in Reach. Write the message for the selected product or category, or use wording suitable for all products in the flow.
- Activate the automation: review the trigger, product scope, and email, then activate the flow. The integration guide describes the purchase tracking as automatic after the store is connected.
For the current workflow and product-targeting instructions, see Hostinger’s ecommerce automation guide.

Choose between one flow and product-specific flows
The practical choice is operational simplicity versus relevance. A flow for all products is easier to maintain and suits messages that apply to every order. Separate flows for selected products let you tailor guidance or recommendations by product or category, but require you to maintain each flow and keep its product URLs accurate. Hostinger documents targeting by product URL; it does not claim that either approach produces better results.
| Approach | Useful when | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| One flow for all products | The message covers a universal order thank-you, shipping or next-step information, or a support link. | Simpler to manage, but the content must make sense for every item. |
| Separate product- or category-specific flows | Customers need different care instructions, setup guidance, or complementary-product suggestions depending on what they bought. | More relevant copy is possible, but you must select and maintain product URLs and separate messages. |
Write the email around Reach’s product-content limitation
Reach can target a flow to selected product URLs, but that does not mean it can insert the purchased item into the email. Hostinger states: “At this time, REACH does not support dynamically displaying the exact purchased product inside the email content automatically.” Do not rely on the message to populate a product name, image, or other item details from the order.
Instead, write reusable copy for the products covered by that flow. A post-purchase message might thank the customer, explain what happens next, offer care or use guidance, provide a support link, request a review, or suggest a relevant complementary product. Keep recommendations and instructions appropriate for every product targeted by the automation. The limitation and supported targeting behavior are described in Hostinger’s guide.

If you use Hostinger eCommerce to collect marketing subscribers at checkout, enable the marketing-consent checkbox in the store’s checkout settings. Hostinger says customers who provide consent are transferred to Reach as subscribers and tagged as checkout contacts; marketing emails are sent to contacts who agreed to receive them. Check the integration instructions at Hostinger’s store integration guide. Consent and email-marketing obligations can depend on location; verify the requirements that apply to your business rather than assuming the setup itself establishes compliance.

- No website or store appears: connect WordPress through the Reach integration, select the AI Builder ecommerce site, or connect the Hostinger eCommerce store through Integrations, as appropriate.
- WooCommerce is unavailable: confirm the WooCommerce plugin is installed and enabled on the connected WordPress site.
- Your AI Builder store is absent: add or enable the store in the AI Builder editor before connecting it.
- No purchase flow or trigger appears: check that ecommerce is active and the store integration is connected. Hostinger says purchase tracking is automatic after connection.
- You expected the email to name the item: product URL targeting determines which purchases enter a flow; it does not dynamically insert product details into the email.
- Hostinger eCommerce customers are not receiving marketing messages: confirm checkout marketing consent is enabled and that the customer was added to Reach as a subscriber.
