Apple has not announced when it will end software support for the iPhone 13 or iPhone 14. As of October 4, 2026, every model in both families appears on Apple’s iOS 27 compatibility list, so they can run the current major iOS release. That confirms present compatibility—not how many future iOS versions they will receive.
Are the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 still supported?
Yes. Apple’s iOS 27 compatibility guide lists the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple’s live guide is the place to check compatibility as it changes.
To check the updates available for your own device, open Settings > General > Software Update. Apple notes that features may vary by model, region, language, and carrier, so compatibility with an iOS release does not mean every feature is available on every phone.
When will Apple end iPhone 13 and 14 support?
There is no confirmed end date. Apple has not published a model-specific support deadline for either family in the sources cited here. Any particular year offered as a definite cutoff would be a prediction, not an announced Apple date.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
“Support” can mean different things: eligibility for a new major iOS version, security fixes for an older version, or Apple hardware service. Those timelines are related only loosely; one ending does not establish when the others will end.
Major iOS updates and security fixes are different
A phone can stop qualifying for the newest major iOS release and still receive a security update for an older iOS branch. For example, Apple’s security release history lists iOS 18.7.8, dated April 22, 2026, as available for all iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 models. That release is evidence of a patch for that branch at that time, not a promise of future patch duration.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Apple says it strives to provide critical security updates even after a product can no longer run its newest operating system. Its June 2024 longevity paper cites an iOS 15 update released in March 2024 for devices as old as the iPhone 6s, introduced in 2015. This is an example of past practice, not a guarantee for the iPhone 13 or 14.
Security statements can also be specific to a threat and a date. In April 2026, Apple said updated versions of iOS 15 through iOS 26 were protected from the particular web attacks discussed in its security guidance and recommended installing the latest available iOS. That does not amount to a blanket assurance that an older phone remains secure indefinitely.

Hardware service follows a separate timeline
Apple’s vintage and obsolete classifications concern hardware service and parts, not eligibility for major iOS releases. Apple defines a product as vintage when it stopped distributing it more than five and less than seven years ago, and obsolete when it stopped distributing it more than seven years ago. Apple says hardware service ends for obsolete products. The clock starts when Apple stops distributing a particular model, so its retail discontinuation date matters; a model’s original release year alone is not enough to determine its status. See Apple’s vintage and obsolete products policy.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you replace your iPhone because of an end-of-support prediction?
No announced cutoff date makes replacement necessary on its own. To decide whether to keep your phone, consider its current update eligibility, whether it receives security fixes, its battery and hardware condition, and whether it meets your app and feature needs. The first two can change, so check Apple’s compatibility and security pages rather than relying on a predicted end year.
