Abir Munjal’s September 21, 2026 DEV Community post describes a collection of 16 free browser-based utilities built to replace the routine of opening a separate website for each small task. The examples include formatting JSON, encoding or decoding Base64, and generating UUIDs. Munjal says the tools need no sign-up and process data in the browser; those are the author’s claims, not an independently verified privacy audit.
What the 16-tool collection is meant to solve
Munjal describes a familiar developer chore: opening a site to format JSON, another to work with Base64, and yet another to generate a UUID. The stated goal is to gather such one-off utilities in one place, so users can switch tasks without repeatedly searching for and opening different websites. The post counts 16 tools in the collection.
The available post text names these utilities:
- JSON Formatter & Validator
- Regex Tester
- Base64 Encoder/Decoder
- UUID Generator
- Color Converter
- Word Frequency Counter
- Duplicate Line Remover
- Random Line Picker
- Markdown to HTML Converter
Munjal also refers to additional text-manipulation utilities, but the post text available here does not name all 16. The list above is therefore a set of named examples, not a complete inventory.
How Munjal says the tools are built
The post identifies Astro for static pages, Tailwind for styling, and Cloudflare Pages for hosting. Munjal says JavaScript is loaded only when a particular tool needs it, rather than requiring every tool to load the code for all the others. This describes the project’s stated architecture; the post does not provide an independent technical assessment.

What the privacy claim does—and does not—establish
Munjal says pasted JSON, regular expressions, and text are processed in the browser and are not sent to a server. The post presents that as a consequence of the tools’ implementation. It does not include a network trace, security review, or other independent verification, so readers should treat local processing as the author’s description rather than an audited guarantee about the current live site.
For sensitive material, a tool’s privacy statement is not a substitute for checking what the current page actually does. The post provides no independent test results to establish whether data leaves the browser.
