The maintainer of mabims.dev reports that its “Kalender Hijriah MABIMS” page appeared first on Google and Bing for the exact query “kalender hijriah mabims,” based on screenshots taken on 21 September 2026. It is a useful account of how the page was built and presented—not proof that any one SEO change caused the rankings or a recipe for repeating them.
What the reported #1 result does—and does not—show
The account comes from Pijar Sukma Adiluhung, the page’s maintainer, in a DEV Community case study published on 21 September 2026. The screenshots document what the author says they saw for one niche query on that date. The author characterizes the query as low competition and notes that results vary by location. Most importantly, the author does not claim to know what caused the result: “I can’t prove which change moved the needle.” The case describes a collection of technical and promotional choices, but it is not a controlled experiment comparing them. It supports a reported observation, not a causal conclusion or a guarantee that another site can reach #1 by copying the approach.
How the calendar page is built
Calendar information is present in the initial HTML
The page began as a static build and is now rendered on the server in a separate Node container. On each request, it fetches calendar data from an API. The author says the initial HTML includes the month grid, current date, important dates, a 12-month summary, and hilal information. Browser-side code handles month navigation and refreshes.

This setup puts substantive calendar content in the server response rather than relying entirely on browser code to add it after the page loads. The author describes the implementation; the case study does not report independent performance measurements or a comparison against the earlier static version.
Cache expiry is set for Jakarta midnight
To avoid relying on a daily static build that could become stale, the page sets a shared-cache expiry for midnight in Jakarta. According to the author, Bunny CDN can serve a successful response from cache until that expiry. A failed /today fetch does not receive the cache header.
There is a timing trade-off: the author notes that the Hijri date changes at maghrib, while this cache boundary is midnight. The expiry therefore does not align exactly with the described date change. The account identifies that mismatch but does not establish how often it produces stale information.

The author says the implementation keeps plain-text and HTML answer values for schema and page display, and builds the answer about the date of 1 Ramadan from live event data. This ties the structured answers to the content visitors see, according to the case study.

Titles and canonical URL
The page uses a title generated from its calendar name and the current Hijri and Gregorian years, and the author says it has an explicit canonical. At the time of the screenshots, Google reportedly still displayed an older title while Bing displayed the newer one. The author interprets this as recrawl lag; the case study does not independently establish the reason for the difference.
How the page describes its calendar and authority
The page identifies itself as independent and not affiliated with Kemenag, and labels its calendar results as estimates. Its FAQ also explains why Google Calendar—which the author identifies as using the Umm al-Qura calendar—may differ by a day. These disclosures help set expectations; they do not establish that one calendar is universally authoritative for every user or purpose.

The maintainer says they published related posts on Dev.to, Medium, and Kompasiana, and that GitHub README files link to the calendar page using descriptive anchor text. The account does not show whether these mentions or links affected search position. They are part of the page’s history, not proven ranking causes.

Improvements the maintainer says remain
The case study also identifies unfinished work. These are the author’s own observations, not evidence that completing them would improve rankings:
- The cache expires at midnight even though the Hijri date changes at maghrib.
- The month grid uses
divelements rather than a semantic table. - Holiday entries do not have Event schema or
<time>tags. - There is too little explanatory text directly after the H1.
What this case study is useful for
For a developer building a data-rich calendar page, the account offers concrete implementation choices to consider: include meaningful content in the initial HTML, make cache expiry decisions with the data’s update schedule in mind, present more than a single date, and keep structured FAQ answers tied to the visible answers. For anyone interpreting the search result, the key distinction is between documenting a page and proving why it ranked. The screenshots support the maintainer’s report of a first-place result for a location-sensitive, low-competition query on a specific date. They do not isolate the effect of server rendering, caching, page content, structured data, or external mentions.
